Chapter 5 The Five Realms of Humans and Ghosts

"In Samatha, the mind is calm, the mind is abiding, and the body is peaceful. One can see the Buddhas and the Bodhisattvas. By seeing one's own body, one can achieve the fruition state."

Jiang Xian read the preface word for word, vaguely realizing something.

Different from the samatha mentioned by Master, this book does not seem to just advocate meditation and letting go of everything when cultivating Buddhism, but to achieve something extraordinary through this method.

The image of a monk using a diamond bowl to take away a female ghost emerged in his mind, which gave Jiang Xun a bold guess: Is there really a way to practice cultivation in the world?

Jiang Xian became interested and continued reading.

By the time I finished reading the entire scripture, it was late at night before I knew it.

Jiang Xun's understanding is very exaggerated, otherwise the old abbot who adopted him would not have cultivated him so carefully. If he had not grown crooked later, it would not be too much to say that the candidate for the next abbot has already been decided.

So I just read it once. Except for some details that still need to be considered, the general core has been completely understood by Jiang Xun.

In general, this is not just a Buddhist scripture, but a systematic practice method.

According to the scriptures, the journey from mortal to transcendent mortal can be roughly divided into five stages.

In the first two stages, ghosts are inferior to humans, and Li Gui and Master Tongtian are equally matched, but in the last two stages, ghosts are stronger than humans.

It's easy to say whether you want money, life or chastity, but it's a bit difficult to ask for real merit.

Then recite scriptures and use merit as a medium to contact the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Then through visualization and worship, you can benefit from it and turn your merits into a source of strength.

"I don't know what the female ghost is, but it is obviously different from other ghosts. She must be an innocent ghost at least. So, the monk should have saved my life?"

In other words, unlike the spiritual energy in novels about cultivating immortals, if you want to practice cultivation in reality, hard currency is merit.

This is simply not giving people a way to survive!

"No wonder the monk ran away after pretending to be beeping. He must have thought about this problem, but in that case, why didn't he just tell me that it was completely cold?"

This state of trance lasted for who knows how long. When Jiang Xun recited the sutra for the eighty-first time, the outline of some kind of existence actually appeared in his originally empty field of vision.

Jiang Xian was amazed. Although he yearned for it, he didn't take it seriously.

As for the fifth stage, there is no explanation, only one name: True God.

"hiss"

For Buddhism, it can strengthen the body and nourish the Qi, and exorcise evil spirits.

The second stage is the charlatan, who knows some superficial magic, can confuse listeners, can channel spirits, and see part of the nature of the world, such as communicating with the dead, controlling dead objects such as paper dolls, raising imps, and cultivating poisons.

Gu are all methods that charlatans can use.

When I was thinking about how to live happily for a few years by recruiting ghosts to deceive others before the disaster came, a strange idea appeared in my mind.

With his high intensity of watching all kinds of hellish fun and doing all kinds of immoral things every day, how can he get any merit?

Although judging from the existing information, the usually kind-hearted old abbot is definitely not simple, but Jiang Xun can no longer count on him.

Half-immortal is only half a step away from God.

I owe the bank 10,000 yuan, and the bank ignores me. But if I owe the bank 10 billion, then I am the father of the bank!

It seems reasonable that others rely on their merits to cultivate, and I rely on the merits I owe to cultivate."

Even the monk said that his merits would elude him and his blessings would gradually pass away, so why should he still practice the deeds of a ghost?

"The monk said that there is something ominous about me that will cause serious trouble. The only way to resolve the disaster is to transcend the ordinary world. If it is true, then I can't accumulate merit now. If I can't accumulate merit, I can't practice. If I can't practice, I can't resolve the disaster.

, isn’t this an endless cycle?”

Below the detailed introduction to the stages, there are some notes with different words, which look like supplementary content.

Jiang Xian's expression was a little distorted.

"No wonder it was said before that to practice, you must first do good deeds for ten years and connect the world with merit. After a long time, you actually have to bring good people before you can practice?"

But in fact, among the entire group of practitioners, they are just beginners.

Different from the half-immortals who tell fortunes on the overpass, the half-immortals among practitioners are beings who can understand the laws of the world. They have transcended life and death, and their body and mind have integrated into the laws of the world. A powerful half-immortal can trigger natural changes with every move.

He seemed to have completely forgotten that he had just returned to secular life just over a year ago.

And the way of practice is also very consistent with the word "stop", because according to the scriptures, it is to empty everything, not only to have no distracting thoughts, but also to forget your own name. It is best to have a blank mind.

state.

After thinking about it, Jiang Xun felt it didn't make sense.

Shaking his head, Jiang Xian gave up these thoughts. Anyway, he was not in danger at that time. Even if he had this kindness, he would not acknowledge it. No one could kidnap him morally!

"But let's just say I owe him a favor for this Great Samatha, but only if it's really useful!"

Just do it, Jiang Xun didn't care, he tried it first and then he said it. He immediately abandoned all distracting thoughts and entered the state of samatha according to the scriptures.

This is because ghosts have begun to give birth to wisdom since the beginning of fierce ghosts, and the most important thing about them being stronger than humans is that ghosts have clear goals and are often very cruel and vicious, without mercy.

Jiang Xian thought:

This third stage is called Master Tongtian. The word Tongtian is enough to describe the abilities of these people. They have touched the essence of the world and can use some methods that ordinary people can't imagine.

There is a Taoist who raises his hand and black clouds fall over the city, and five thunders explode and disperse thousands of troops. There are also monks who chant scriptures between their fingers. Ten Thousand Buddhas and Chaozong can save countless dead souls. There are swordsmen who pierce the sky with a sword and cut off the flow of stars and stop time. There are also swords.

Split the mountains and rivers with a knife and cut off the destiny of a country, leaving no one to know about it for thousands of years.

And these contents are aimed at dividing the strength of ghosts.

Jiang Xian narrowed his eyes slightly and began to hypnotize himself:

"Master said that I owe merit to the Buddha, and I am about to become a bad person. In other words, there is a number, right? If merit can be used as money, it is equivalent to my current situation as an old man who owes money.

He is as fierce as a half-immortal, so he must be very powerful. In this case, I must owe a lot of money to Tiandi Bank.

Praying for rain, seeking luck, calculating fortune, and fortune are all trivial matters to them.

"As expected of a monk, he has a way of bragging. A single outline makes my blood boil."

Jiang Xian thought as he happily opened the section that described the practice methods in detail.

The characteristics of being cold and unscrupulous naturally make ghosts have fewer weaknesses than humans and are more difficult to deal with.

The natural cycle, the laws of life and death, even the ethereal luck, the rise and fall of everything cannot be interfered with.

So, a problem arises.

The same five stages correspond to: ghost, wronged soul, evil ghost, fierce evil spirit, and evil spirit.

In the past, quacks and magicians were enough to rely on to travel around the world. Many capable people relied on these to leave a good or bad reputation in future generations.

This sutra is not complete, and it is no wonder that the monk only asked Jiang Xun to practice to the charlatans. This sutra only reached the charlatans, and no longer exists after that.

This gave Jiang Xun a headache, but he couldn't find anyone who could help him. Not to mention that the monk's whereabouts were uncertain and he didn't even know his name. Even his master no longer knew where he had gone.

A few months ago, when he wanted to borrow money, he found that the temple where he had lived for more than ten years was empty.

The first stage is ordinary people, who are very fragile, afraid of cold and heat, prone to illness and injury, and follow the natural laws of life and death.

"If these are true, then that monk comes and goes without a trace, uses the vajra bowl to collect ghost energy and calms the mind as easily as his arms. In the message he left me, he didn't seem to pay much attention to the charlatan. It's very possible.

He is the so-called Master Tongtian."

The fourth stage is called half-immortal.

If some of the incredible methods of charlatans are compared to the level of undergraduates, then Master Tongtian's ability is like that of a 985 doctor. He no longer stays on paper, and his attitude towards knowledge has also changed from learning and using to exploring and discovering. It is a qualitative matter.

of flying over.

In an instant, the Buddhist charm suddenly appeared, which made Jiang Xian extremely peaceful and tranquil. If you didn't know him, you might really think that he was some eminent monk.

But with just one glance, Jiang Xun suddenly opened his eyes.

There was surprise, confusion, confusion, and doubt in his eyes.

Thousands of words finally turned into one sentence:

"It's so weird, take another look."
