Chapter 23 Deja vu

Chapter 23 Deja Vu

What kind of bad thoughts can a child have, so that he won't cry excitedly just because of a bite of food? Mrs. Shen glanced at Li Erya, she was probably the only one in the family who would be angry with her son.

But in the current atmosphere, she could only pretend not to know and accepted her son's explanation. She still had to ask her son in private if he had been wronged.

"Stop crying and eat well." Shen Nanzhou didn't mean to blame him.

Facing the care and concern of his parents, Shen Muyin smiled and suddenly felt that being young was not a bad thing.

Perhaps because of this breakthrough, Shen Nanzhou was not that hard to accept the soup she cooked. He even drank two large bowls and praised the taste as good.

Shen Muchi and Mrs. Shen also drank, but Shen Qingrou couldn't pass her own test and decided not to drink the soup.

Thanks to her, she could drink one more bowl. Li Erya touched his belly and burped, feeling very satisfied.

In the evening, a plate of small dried fish was fried, and she could eat more, because the Shen family did not like to eat fish with bones, so she almost had it all to herself.

Shen Muyin was also shocked. She didn't even need to spit out the bones. Her teeth were so good.

Li Erya was so immersed in eating fish that he didn't notice the shocked looks of others.

Mrs. Shen turned her face away in disgust. If such a wild girl from the countryside would be laughed at by others in Qi, she must have been sick and confused to agree to this marriage.

I was thinking about my youngest son's grievance again. After dinner, I quickly found an opportunity to call him to my room and carefully asked him if he had any grievances.

"No." Shen Muyin didn't know why. Now that she was alive, it was too late for him to be happy.

"Then why are you crying all of a sudden? Is someone angry with you?" Mrs. Shen pointed to the next room.

"No." Although his room was also next door, Shen Muyin knew who she was referring to, so he quickly shook his head, and then said cautiously, "Mom, do you remember that a quack told you that you were not in good health? We may not have much time left, but you are doing well now, and I am just happy that our whole family is doing well."

"You also believe what the charlatan says." Mrs. Shen said quietly.

It's a pity that she believed it and brought such a thorn in her family. Mrs. Shen eliminated the doubts in her heart and was pleased that her son was filial and sensible, so she comforted him.

After leaving the room, Shen Muyin was thinking about Su Yue's words in his mind, and then carefully thought about some of his mother's symptoms, but he couldn't convince himself that she really knew how to heal.

If it wasn't her, it must be because of Su Yue that her mother would be fine. Shen Muyin shook his head, but the moment he saw Li Erya, he still murmured in his heart.

Early the next morning, Li Erya cooked a pot of porridge using the large tube bones and white radish that had been pickled yesterday. The salty aroma was appetizing and made people want to eat.

This time, even Shen Qingrou, who had always been picky, couldn't fault it and drank one more bowl than usual.

Li Erya looked at the bottomed cauldron. She planned to save some for lunch. It seemed that she had underestimated their appetite.

Students arrived one after another, and she had to follow them into the classroom.

The work that she didn't have time to do naturally fell on Shen Qingrou. She was really angry and couldn't help complaining in front of her mother, "Mom, look at her, she doesn't look like she is a wife. She is just here to enjoy herself. I don’t know what dad thinks.”

"Of course your father has your father's thoughts, and you don't want your brother's future wife to be illiterate." Mrs. Shen sighed, "Don't let your father hear such words."

"I know." Shen Qingrou muttered unconvincedly. She glanced at the visitor outside the door and immediately closed her mouth, signaling to her mother that a visitor was coming. She also sped up her movements.

When Mrs. Shen saw that it was Su Yue's family of three, she couldn't help being surprised and happy, and hurriedly greeted them.

After a few words of greeting, she was attracted by the appearance of the little girl. She had a feeling of déjà vu. Mrs. Shen thought for a moment and was interrupted by Mrs. Su.

"The children were clamoring to come and see the herbs in the mountains. I thought I had to stop by and visit, so I followed suit." Mrs. Su explained.

"I plan to study medicine and am ambitious." Mrs. Shen looked at Su Ling again with a smile, and she felt more and more extraordinary about her magnanimity.

"Children's nature is just to keep things fresh." Mrs. Su said disapprovingly.

"I'm not." Su Ling retorted in a low voice.

"Look, he's quite angry." Mrs. Su said helplessly.

Su Ling looked at her mother angrily and did not refute.

Over there, Shen Qingrou finished her work and came over. She had met Su Ling's family before, and she invited them into the house with some familiarity, "I'll call dad over."

"No, no, it's shameful to come uninvited. You must not delay the children's study." Su Yue quickly stopped him.

However, he was stunned when he saw Li Erya in the school, and he admired Shen Nanzhou as a person.

In fact, he came here firstly to collect medicine, and secondly to see if Mrs. Shen's physical condition had improved. The prescription he prescribed was ordinary, and the effect was definitely there, but it seemed that it was not his fault alone.

It was all because Shen Muyin asked him about the medicinal recipe before, which made him feel like it was written by Li Erya. He hadn't seen him ask for it for a while, so he became curious, but when he came to look at it, he felt itchy.

Now with just a brief observation, Su Yue knew that Mrs. Shen was fine, but he still took the initiative to take her pulse, "I wonder if Mrs. Shen can tell me about the food she has eaten recently?"

"Is there something wrong with my health?" Mrs. Shen was shocked. Thinking of the strange things Li Erya made, the thought that came to her mind was that the things were poisonous.

"No, no, madam, your health is fine. I see that you look very good, and I want to see how you take care of yourself." Su Yue saw her and explained quickly.

"What kind of maintenance are we talking about? It's just three meals a day." Mrs. Shen said quietly.

Su Yue still wanted to ask, but when Shen Nanzhou came, he had to give up.

When they talked about Mrs. Shen's physical condition again, Su Yue finally figured it out. Shen Muyin was probably the only one who knew about it, and everyone else was kept in the dark.

However, Shen Muyin and Shen Muchi were in the study, and they could only come out to meet the guests with Shen Nanzhou's permission.

The man was there and chatting, but Su Yue didn't find a chance to ask him about the specific situation.

"By the way, I noticed that there were a lot of herbs missing outside the door. Maybe I came at the wrong time, and all the herbs in the mountains are owned, right?" Su Yue joked.

"No way, but that girl has to learn a few words recently and doesn't care about the medicinal herbs in the mountains." Shen Nanzhou laughed, and then talked about the Huang brothers coming to buy medicinal materials.

"I don't know what kind of herbal medicine they sell, it's just like eating it as vegetables." Shen Qingrou couldn't help but interjected.
