Chapter 9 Manda's Corpse

The cave has a heavy corpse smell. For Manda, it doesn't taste pungent or even bad. In his previous life, he had eaten all kinds of carrion, and some carrion tasted much worse than this one.

The entrance was very narrow, and I walked dozens of meters following the only light in front of me, as if I had entered the gourd's belly from the gourd's mouth, and the surroundings immediately became widened.

Not only is it open, but also bright, with torches on the walls, candlesticks on the table, and a bare wooden bed with no blankets and no quilts, with red and green spots on it.

This is blood. The reason why some places turn green is because they are moldy. Manda was curious about the purpose of this bed, and suddenly heard an old laughter coming from behind.

"Hehe, what a great guy."

Manda turned around and saw an old lady standing behind her back. As a twelve-year-old boy, he was less than 1.5 meters tall. Since he came to this world, Manda has been looking up at the adults around him (except Quinta), but now he can easily look down at the old lady.

The old lady was hunched over, as if she was not one meter tall, and she was leaning on a cane that was taller than hers.

Wearing a gray linen robe, it was old but very neat.

A dark brown scarf was wrapped around her head. Under the candlelight, the shadow of the scarf just covered her face.

Manda kept looking for angles, trying to see what the old lady looked like, but she didn't expect that the old lady suddenly raised her head.

"What do you want to see? What do you want to do? What do you want to get from me?"

This time he saw the old lady's face clearly. Her skin was as rough as tree bark, with crisscrossing wrinkles dotted with bumps of different sizes. Her lips and brown-yellow skin were almost the same color. A huge nose seemed to be dry garlic hanging on her face. The sparse eyebrows were as gray as her hair, and only those eyes, although very turbid, were very vivid.

"You are Portia, I'll get my body." Manda looked at the old lady calmly, with no fear on her face. To him, an elderly old woman had nothing to fear, and she was even a little kind.

But the old lady didn't want to be too kind. She put her face in front of Manda, grinned her teeth-free mouth, and smiled ferociously: "So, are you here to die?"

Manda stared at the old lady for a while, then suddenly stretched out her little hand and touched the old lady's face.

The old lady stood up with her sword eyebrows and raised her crutch suddenly. Unexpectedly, Manda stretched out her mouth and kissed her on the forehead.

"Beautiful lady, I want my body."

The old lady's cheeks were flushed and she held the crutch and shook it into a ball.

After a long stalemate, the old lady returned to peace, holding a candle and holding a candlestick, and came to the stone wall.

"Don't pretend to be so brave, I know you're almost wetting your pants."

She poked the crutch hard on the ground, and a piece of dust fell down, and a large slit of rock wall shrank aside like a curtain.

There are dozens of corpses hanging behind the rock wall, including men, women, elderly and children.

Manda walked closer and he had a cold war.

"I know you're scared?" the old lady sneered, "Look at which one is your body?"

Manda looked for a while, pointed to a boy with a similar figure as him and said, "I want that!"

"There is a good vision, and this child's figure looks very similar to you."

The old lady used a crutch to pick the body off the hook.

"A sensible child should help the old man." The old lady looked at the wooden bed. Manda understood what she meant, and followed the old lady to carry the body onto the bed.

"Every year, there are always such unlucky guys. When they come to a place where they shouldn't have come, they naturally have to return the bodies of the Claudesey family. Other people's bodies will be disposed of. I like to eat their hearts and livers."

Manda looked at the old lady seriously: "Does it taste good?"

The old lady frowned and said, "Do you want to taste it? If you don't want to have nightmares, just close your eyes!"

The old lady put the candlestick aside, took out a knife, cut open the belly of the body, and skillfully took out the internal organs.

"This is the heart, this is the liver, this is the lungs, this is the stomach, this is the intestines. It's almost done, only a few pieces are left..."

The internal organs were thrown into the wooden barrel under the bed, and Manda stood beside her, looking at her expressionlessly.

The old lady changed into another knife and dug out the eyes of the corpse. This time she did not put it in the wooden barrel, but into a small wooden box.

"This is the most precious thing, it must be kept, and this one..."

She used a pair of pliers to pull out several teeth from the body: "It just happened to be left to make a new pair of dentures. Anyway, it's a corpse, and they won't care if they are missing these teeth."

After extracting his teeth, he shaved the hair of the body and made sure there was nothing to take it away. The old lady wiped the blood from her hands and said, "This is yours."

Manda was stunned: "I just took him to the entrance of the valley like this? They are not fools, you can tell at a glance that this is not me."

"I thought you were a fool!" The old witch smiled, took out a pottery jar from the secret lattice under the wooden bed, scooped out a spoonful of green powder with a wooden spoon, and put it into a cloth bag.

"Spread this thing on the corpse and never touch your hand. The corpse will soon turn into bones and no flesh will be left behind."

Is this the legendary corpse-transformation powder?

Manda felt excited and picked up the cloth bag and was about to sprinkle the powder when he saw the old lady hit Manda's hand with a stick.

"What do you want to do? Do you melt the body now? Do you want to carry a pile of bones outside the valley?"

"What's wrong with this?" Manda rubbed her hands, "The bones are lighter."

"Can you put him in a complete set? Are you not afraid of anyone seeing you? Go outside the valley and dissolve the body, you stupid boy!"

Manda carried the body with difficulty and came to the entrance of the cave. There was a cliff dozens of meters high below, almost straight up and down. Climbing down with a body worth dozens of kilograms on his back was like a dream.

"I can't get down!" Manda shouted into the cave.

"Do you let me carry you down?" The old lady's voice came out.

"If I fall to death, you have to carry me on my back, take my internal organs and carry me out. Wouldn't that be even more troublesome?"

The old lady was amused, she raised her crutch, took two steps to run, throwing the crutch out like a javelin.

The crutches penetrated Manda's clothes, but did not hurt Manda. They took him directly outside the cave. After a gliding, they landed smoothly on the ground.

The crutch retreated from the ripped hole in the clothes and jumped back into the cave.

"I kissed your face, but you refused to send me another trip. What a hard woman to please."

Manda complained a few times, carried the body on her back, and walked to the entrance of the valley in the evening twilight.

This corpse is almost as heavy as Manda, but it seems that she is carrying a schoolbag on her back.

The physical strength has been improved a lot.

Manda couldn't help but trot, and her speed was very different from before.

There was a rabbit in front of him eating grass in the valley. Manda leaned over and grabbed it, and threw it out casually.

The rabbit got up, pricked up an ear at Manda, and continued to eat grass.

Manda's physical fitness has been greatly improved, which is the change brought about by the blood of the gods. With such a body, combined with the fighting skills of his previous life with dinosaurs, Manda can easily deal with three or four adult men.

He quickly ran to the entrance of the valley, but the whistleman did not stop him. There was indeed no one around. He placed the body in the open space outside the valley and poured the powder from the cloth bag on the body.

I thought I would see a violent chemical reaction, but the scene was calm at the beginning. The body slowly turned into water like jelly, without sound or smoke, and no trace of flesh and blood was left on the smooth bones.

Manda felt that the location was not very good. He wanted the corpse to be more conspicuous, but he did not dare to move easily, for fear of dispersing the skeleton. In the midst of his entanglement, he suddenly saw two ignitions appearing in the distance.

He hurriedly hid in the valley and saw two men walking to the corpse, as if he had found their long-lost father, and shouted excitedly.
