Chapter 4 Learn from the classics and learn by analogy
Zhang Xiaofan followed Song Daren to bid farewell to his master Tian Buyi and retreated from the "Shoujing Hall". After listening to Song Daren's detailed explanation of many experiences and precautions in practice, he returned to his own courtyard.
Pushing open the bamboo door and stepping on the pebble path, the fragrance of the green lawn lingers at the end of the nose. A green pine on the left stands upright, and the five or six bamboos on the right rustle in the breeze, and I can't help but feel very happy.
"Practice well from now on!" Zhang Xiaofan whispered to cheer himself up, pushed the door and entered the house, and sat cross-legged on the couch.
"Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao and "The Great Brahma Prajna Sutra"!" Zhang Xiaofan murmured to himself, "These two practices are one Tao and one Buddha, and their theory is contrary, and their practice paths are opposite. At first, it was half the result with twice the effort, which was quite time-consuming, but it could lay a solid foundation, which was of great benefit to subsequent cultivation! It seems that later Zhang Xiaofan was able to achieve some cultivation, and the contribution to laying a solid foundation at this time is indispensable!"
"Dual cultivation of Taoism and Buddha is a must, but it cannot take too long to avoid the master's concern and disappointment, and it does not meet my expectations of quickly improving my cultivation!" Zhang Xiaofan frowned slightly.
"Oh! By the way!" Zhang Xiaofan suddenly remembered that he accompanied the elderly in the nursing home in his previous life to memorize the Taoist classic "Tao Te Ching" and memorize the Heart Sutra of Prajna Paramita.
Taoist thoughts are in line with each other. Many of the concepts in "Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao" are highly the same as those in "Tao Te Ching", and they all emphasize "Tao gives birth to one, one gives birth to two, two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things. All things carry yin and embrace yang, and the middle energy is harmonious."
However, a small part of the "Brahmadha Prajna Sutra" is very similar to the "Heart Sutra of Prajna Paramita", but there are many differences.
After careful comparison, Zhang Xiaofan found that the "Tao Te Ching" and the "Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra" are more perfect, more profound, and more direct to the essence than the "Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao" and the "Great Brahma Prajna Sutra"!
It is precisely because the Tao Te Ching and the Heart Sutra of Prajna Paramita are more profound, and they are not completely contrary to the Tao as the Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao and the Great Brahma Prajna Sutra.
Taoism practices the truth, which emphasizes the sharing of heaven and earth, the body is the same as nature, and the body controls nature and nature, and turns it into great power.
The main theme of Buddhism is "Things should be without dwelling on anything, and all things should not be separated from their own nature." It also says: "Who did you expect that your own nature is originally pure; how did you expect that your own nature is originally without birth and death; how did you expect that your own nature is originally complete; how did you expect that your own nature is originally unshakable; how did you expect that your own nature can produce all things!"
In short, Taoism focuses on understanding nature when practicing Taoism, and the sameness of heaven and man; Buddhism focuses on understanding oneself and seeing the five aggregates when practicing Taoism!
However, whether it is Taoist cultivation or Buddhist cultivation, the great way is simple, all dharmas return to one, and different paths are the same. The ultimate goal of cultivation is the path of immortality and transcendence.
The "Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao" and the "Great Brahma Prajna Sutra" are precisely because of incompleteness, or because of the limited knowledge of the person who first understood it, they are biased and not perfect enough.
The "Tao Te Ching" and the "Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra" are the essence of Taoism and Buddhist wisdom on Earth for thousands of years, and have the function of pointing directly to the great way.
Although Zhang Xiaofan’s current level of cultivation is not enough to directly transform the Tao Te Ching and the Heart Sutra of Prajna Paramita into supreme practice.
However, it can be understood by analogy. It is cited by the "Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao" and the "Great Brahma Prajna Sutra" and the higher Buddhist concepts of the "Tao Te Ching" and the "Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra" as its goal, and can understand the method of communication from the outside to the inside and from the inside out.
Thinking of this, Zhang Xiaofan suddenly realized that the irreconcilable contradictions between "Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao" and "The Great Brahma Prajna Sutra" had already been resolved.
After bold assumptions, Zhang Xiaofan only needs to carefully verify and explore carefully to perfectly reconcile the contradiction between the two schools of cultivation, and make them complement each other, and the internal and external circulation are integrated into one!
After solving this primary problem, Zhang Xiaofan took out the "blood-sucking beads" left by Master Puzhi from his arms again.
I carefully looked at the dark purple and dull round bead. There was a fine hole in the middle of the bead. The body of the bead was translucent. I could see a faint green air inside that kept spinning, rushing left and right, and trying to break out of the shell.
However, every time the green Qi approaches the surface of the bead, it will be suppressed by the Buddhist mantra "" set by Master Puzhi!
"This guy is a hot potato!" Zhang Xiaofan felt a little embarrassed. According to his initial thought, he wanted to throw it into the valley pool where the "soul-taking stick" is located and let them die.
However, Zhang Xiaofan's soul was very worried about the "Blood-Devouring Bead" that was left by Master Puzhi.
After a long time, Zhang Xiaofan gritted his teeth and said to himself: "Although these 'blood-eating beads' and 'soul-capturing sticks' are both peerless and fierce things, their power is comparable to the Nine Heavens Divine Weapons. It is a pity for me to abandon them! Since I already know their disadvantages, as long as I am careful, I can resolve the threats they bring!"
In the end, Zhang Xiaofan decided to keep the "blood-devouring bead", but decided to often inject the Buddha power cultivated from the "Bodhisattva Sutra" into the seal of the "" character of Monk Puzhi to strengthen the seal!
After solving the troubles in front of him, Zhang Xiaofan was ready to start practicing with peace of mind!
What surprised him was that thanks to his powerful soul power, Zhang Xiaofan found that he could actually use both minds and practice "Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao" and "The Great Brahma Prajna Sutra" at the same time!
Carefully operate the two techniques, "Tai Chi Xuanqingdao" concentrates the mind and calms the energy, abandons many troubles, and leads the spiritual energy of heaven and earth into the body, and circulates the great circle of heaven and earth according to specific meridians to understand the heaven and earth.
The "Brahma Prajna Sutra" requires that the five aggregates are empty, to abandon external troubles, and to focus on the movement of the breath in the body.
Based on the internal and external integration methods that were understood in the Tao Te Ching and the Heart Sutra of Prajna Paramita, Zhang Xiaofan first introduced the spiritual energy of heaven and earth into the body with the Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao, and then controlled the circulation of heaven and earth into the body with the Great Brahma Prajna Sutra.
Part of these auras form the "Tai Chi Xuanqing Magic Power" and operate the Zhoutian according to the "Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao", and part of them form the "Prajna Buddha Power" and the Zhoutian according to the "Great Brahma Prajna Sutra".
Although Zhang Xiaofan felt that such distractions made the practice progress extremely slowly, which was more than twice as slow as practicing one technique alone, there was no side effects of canceling each other due to conflicts in the technique!
In addition to lunch and dinner, Zhang Xiaofan spent a whole day. The next morning, Dongfang showed white belly. Finally, when he was practicing the two techniques of Taoism and Buddhism at the same time, he was able to control the pores of the seven orifices of the body and absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.
Zhang Xiaofan didn't know whether the cultivation speed of this level was fast or slow, but it was definitely much stronger than the level in the original work where Zhang Xiaofan still couldn't control the holes in his whole body for three months!
Dear fellow Taoists, I will throw them all in my collection, recommendation, and rewards!
