Chapter 33 Sending Immortal Bridge
I got up and took out the half bag of biscuits left from the train, and ate them in three mouthfuls to replenish some energy. My spirits were better, but my stomach was still rumbling.
I felt that my body had a night of struggle with illness yesterday, and what I needed urgently was to replenish energy. I walked out of the hotel and went to a clean snack bar on the side of the road and ordered a bowl of Dandan noodles.
Dandan noodles are considered a special snack in Chengdu. According to legend, it was a hawker in the early years when he carried a load and walked around the streets. Dandan noodles were named because of this. In the past, I only heard of the name but never saw it. Today, a bowl of greasy noodles was served in front of me, and I felt very appetizing.
The noodles with Dandan noodles are narrow and thin, but very strong. The fried braised ingredients are golden in color, and they are accompanied by minced garlic, bean sprouts, and Sichuan winter vegetables. Of course, the must-have peppers for Sichuan flavor are indispensable. I am so hungry that I can't wait to feast on this bowl of noodles.
After a large bowl of noodles, I patted my stomach with satisfaction. Sichuan peppers are amazing. When I ordered noodles, I specifically told the waiter to put less peppers, but I was still sweating profusely. Sichuan spicy is different from Hunan spicy. It is spicy, with a strong taste stimulation and will not make people feel hot.
Compared to the cold sweat I had last night, the sweat just now made me feel very comfortable. Sweating is generally divided into physiological and pathological, and there are corresponding research in traditional Chinese medicine. I remember my grandfather once told me that traditional Chinese medicine believes that sweating is a manifestation of yin and yang disorder, especially pathological sweating. The common pathological sweating in traditional Chinese medicine is spontaneous sweating and night sweating. This kind of sweating is often caused by weak lung qi, insolidity of Weiyang, and leakage of fluid, so it is often accompanied by symptoms of yang qi deficiency such as mental fatigue, fatigue, shortness of breath, and cold.
Thinking of these, I couldn't help but think of my grandfather again, and then reminded me of the scene I saw in the dungeon of the ancestral grave a few days ago. After being hallucinated, I saw my grandfather's appearance. Looking back to this day, I unconsciously began to reminisce, although I felt a little sad. This made me think of another situation again. If I had the opportunity to let my grandfather reappear in this world in a way, even though I knew that such "resurrection" was problematic, then could I treat it rationally? After thinking about it for a while, I could not give a clear answer. At the same time, I also understood Kong Xue's feelings better.
I took a deep breath, got up, checked out and walked out of the shop. Standing on the streets of Chengdu, I was thinking about what to do next. Since I wanted to inquire about the Tan family's movements, I thought the best way was to go to the antique market first.
Chengdu is a slow-paced way of living, very comfortable and leisurely, so the lifestyles of Chengdu people are very colorful. The most popular way of leisure is to collect teahouses, Sichuan flavors and Sichuan operas. I heard from my second uncle once told me that the largest antique market in Chengdu is the Shuaixianqiao antique trash market.
The name Shuaixianqiao not only sounds quite elegant, but also ranks among the best in the country. The antiques and old goods here are rich and diverse, including ancient porcelain, bronze, jade, Ming and Qing furniture, and even stamps, coins, old books and newspapers. Of course, this place is the same as the antique markets in other places in the country, which are mixed and of good and bad. If you want to gain something here, it is not okay without some eyesight.
However, I didn’t want to find anything good to do, but just wanted to find news.
The earliest antique market in Chengdu was not originally here, but in Huifu on the West Street of the Martyrs' Temple. There is a saying that goes, "Chengdu for a thousand years, Huifu for a hundred years." Huifu was originally a place where officials from the Ming and Qing dynasties worshiped. Until the decline of the Qing Dynasty, some vendors gathered here to form a market. At that time, those who bought antiques were not called antique dealers or nice antique merchants, but were uniformly called "farshod harvesters".
The reason why it is called this is, as the name suggests, it is to go around the streets to purchase waste items. Some exchange items for goods, while others directly pay for them. At that time, people's concept of antiques in their minds was not that strong. These "waste harvesters" were often able to find good things from some people's waste items.
Gradually, with the evolution of the market, management became more and more formal. Several fixed antique markets were gradually formed, and the Shuoxianqiao was one of the largest markets. The "far-grabbing craftsmen" back then also became orthodox antique merchants.
I stood in the Songxianqiao Market, watching the crowds of people coming and going. Because the land is in a cultural scenic spot, in addition to Taobao leisure collectors, there are also many tourists. The merchants in the market are one by one, with storefront shops and open-air stalls.
But after I walked around the market, I found that there were too many people in the market and I had no way to find any useful information. The first time I did this alone, I didn’t know how to start. So I fortunately put the inquiry aside and strolled for a while before talking about it.
I heard that the second floor of the market is a specialized market for calligraphy, painting and jade, so I stepped upstairs. There are many studios here selling paintings they created. Among them, there are ink, fine brushwork, oil painting and other styles. There are many excellent works. Although I can't tell any tricks, a good painting has a different personal feeling.
The level here is relatively professional, so there should be fewer people.
Actually, if I come here this time to find out the information about the Tan family, it is just the most ideal plan. If it doesn’t work, then it’s better to just take it as a travel! I walked around in the garden and found it quite comfortable.
As I walked, a painting suddenly caught my attention. It was an oil painting, and the size was quite large. The above should be a scene in the desert. The dunes were endless, and the sun set, and the sun was spreading down, forming a wonderful light and shadow. Moreover, in the flat areas between the dunes, there are some ruins of ancient cities. Some ruins stand in this wonderful light and shadow, which plays the final touch.
The author of this painting is very good at composition and application of colors. At first glance, I actually felt familiar with déjà vu. So, I unconsciously approached the painting and observed it carefully, and soon I knew what was the reason for this feeling. Because, in the depths of the ruins on the picture, I saw an inconspicuous stone tower, and the tower was black all over, giving people a strange feeling.
The black stone tower, this thing left a deep impression on me. Kong Xue, the second uncle, and Shi Tao, and I were almost trapped under the stone tower. The scene in this painting is exactly in line with the ruins of the ancient Acropolis in Shanhuan that I have seen.
This discovery shocked me. The ruins of the ancient acropolis of Shanhuan are located in the heart of the Gurbantonggut Desert. It is very dangerous and it is absolutely difficult for ordinary people to get involved. So how did the author of this painting draw it!
I walked into this studio curiously. The shop was a middle-aged man wearing glasses. He was painting a landscape of ink on the table. When I saw me walking in, I put my pen and greeted me and smiled, "How about it, this boss, which painting is this?"
I pointed to the painting I just looked at and asked, "Did you draw it?"
The middle-aged man turned his head and shook his head, "No, this painting was sold here by someone else. If you are really interested, I can contact you and ask."
I nodded, "Okay, please, I'm very interested in this painting!"
