001 Before the storm

Jinling City, which had been noisy all night, finally calmed down when the morning light was shining.

In the Jingjiang River passing by the city, dozens of large and small pleasure boats have already docked on the shore, without the blurred lights and the tempting graceful figures.

Everything was silent at this moment.

Suddenly, the sound of birds singing came from the sky, breaking the rare silence.

A white line flew quickly towards the city from outside, from far to near, and arrived in the city in a blink of an eye, and then shot into the imperial city in the center of the city like an arrow.

Outside the imperial city, there are high-walled courtyards standing on both sides of the imperial city, all of which are powerful families.

The General’s Mansion in Zhenbei is also among them.

At this moment, the servants in the mansion had just stood up and were about to start their busy day.

The lights were already on in the green banana yard in the corner of the backyard. A thin figure was reflected on the window and was bent down to wash.

A moment later, a boy in black outfit pushed open the door.

His slightly tender face looks angular because of his thinness. However, looking at him at the age of only twelve or thirteen, his eyes are particularly quiet, pretending to be mature and steady that is inconsistent with his age.

He looked up and looked at the sky that began to turn white, then walked out of the yard.

As usual, this should be the time to practice martial arts.

There is already someone in the martial arts field.

He was wearing a simple black robe, placed in front of him and swung a long sword in his hand, making a sensation.

He stood at the edge of the martial arts field, silently looking at the figure, his eyes full of reverence!

Not long after, General Zhenbei on the field stopped after performing a knife operation. Before he turned around, he shook his hand and ran out of his hand and headed straight for the boy on the sidelines.

Seeing the long sword coming towards him, the boy was not afraid at all. Instead, he kicked his feet and flew forward, grabbed the long sword in his hand. After twisting his waist suddenly, the long sword swept towards General Zhenbei, the whistling sound of the wind breaking the wind.

The general's eyes were bright, his mouth was smiling, his body leaned back and he easily avoided.

The boy missed a blow, and his long sword swept back and captured the bottom lane again.

General Zhenbei turned his palm and slapped the ground, and his body rose into the air. When the long sword passed by, his body suddenly fell down again, and he stepped on the long sword under his feet with one kick.

Seeing this, the boy abandoned the knife and fisted. He kicked his feet and rushed up. When the small fist was swung out, the fist broke through the air.

General Zhenbei smiled slightly, his eyes calm and gentle.

The two of them went back and forth, and after more than a dozen rounds, the general made a feint, and the boy was accidentally knocked down by a kick. Then, he followed with a punch and stopped in front of the door, only a slight distance.

The boy was defeated and couldn't help but feel a little depressed. He stood behind, lowered his head and stood opposite General Zhenbei without saying a word.

The general laughed, raised his hand and patted his shoulder, and said softly: "That's right. Your elder brother couldn't stand ten moves under my hands when he was your age! You are already better than your elder brother. It seems that you haven't taken the opportunity to be lazy in the past two years!"

When talking about the eldest brother, the boy's face became a little more longing. He looked up at the general and asked, "When will the eldest brother come back?"

The general thought about it and said, "It may take a few months to go. Dayuan is not very at peace recently."

The boy was a little disappointed when he heard this.

Seeing this, the general pondered for a moment and said, "How about this, after a while, I will arrange someone to take you to the Qishi Valley for a while, and then come back with your elder brother!"

When the boy heard this, he became excited, stared at the general, and asked quickly: "Does my father take this seriously?"

The general raised his hand and patted the boy's head, laughing and scolding, "Boy, when did I deceive you?"

The boy grinned, rubbed his head, and giggled.

At this time, the butler Uncle Lian suddenly hurriedly ran towards this side from elsewhere. His nervous look on his face was already feeling it before he got close to it.

General Zhenbei frowned immediately, and before Uncle Lian could approach, he asked in a deep voice: "What's wrong? He's so panicked!"

Uncle Lian panted: "There is someone coming from the palace... and urging you... you enter the palace to meet the saint! It's said... something happened on the front line!"

When General Zhenbei heard this, he immediately sank his face and left without saying a word.

The boy immediately followed, followed his father with Uncle Lian, and asked Uncle Lian in a low voice: "Does anyone from the palace say what happened specifically?"

Uncle Lian shook his head.

Soon, the three of them arrived at the front yard.

The father-in-law in red robe stood in the courtyard, waiting a little anxiously. When he saw the three of them coming, he immediately came forward and said with a very fast speech: "General, come with our family!"

Seeing this, General Zhenbei didn't ask much, and turned to instruct the boy standing with Uncle Lian: "Don't forget to go to your mother's yard to pay tribute later!"

When the boy heard this, he frowned slightly, pursing his lips tightly and did not speak.

When the general saw it, he nodded in a deep voice.

The boy nodded and agreed, "I understand."

Only then did General Zhenbei follow his father-in-law with confidence.

Not long after he left, news came from the backyard that Dongheyuan's wife had already stood up.

Uncle Lian looked at the boy and whispered: "San Young Master, why don't Laozi accompany you?"

The boy glanced at Uncle Lian, smiled bitterly, and said, "Thank you Uncle Lian, I'll just go by myself."

Uncle Lian laughed and said, "That's right! The master is also for your own good. Go quickly, I'll ask someone to buy noodles for you. When you come back from Dongheyuan, you will be able to eat it." After that, he reached out to call a servant and ordered him to go outside Linglongxuan to buy noodles for the boy.

The servant ran out immediately after he got orders, and the boy walked to the backyard in silence.

Dongheyuan is busy at this moment.

A bunch of maids were busy serving the wife and getting up.

The boy walked to the door of Dongheyuan, hesitated for a while before approaching again.

As soon as I arrived at the door, I was about to enter, a maid suddenly turned out from the door. After seeing the boy towards me, I was stunned and then slightly lowered my face and said, "San Young Master, you can't go in."

The boy took a breath and said, "I'll come here to pay my respects to my wife."

"Madam is inconvenient now. If the third young master really wants to greet him, then wait at the door and let me report it." After saying that, the maid, regardless of whether the boy is willing or not, called someone to come and watch him at the door, and then reported it inside.

The boy wanted to turn his head and leave several times, but after a round of thoughts in his mind, he finally suppressed him again.

The maid has been there for a long time. The boy didn't wait for the maid, but he waited for the second young master, Shen Muye.

General Shen Wei of Zhenbei has three sons and one daughter.

A daughter, Shen Mingxi, was born to the eldest lady, and is only eight years old now. After being seriously ill at the age of three, she was sent to the eldest lady's home and rarely came back since then. However, the eldest lady's home is also at the foot of this imperial city, and is separated from the general's mansion, so the eldest lady will often go back to her home to visit her young daughter.

The eldest brother, Chen Muping, was born to the eldest wife and was born in the legitimate state. Now it is twenty-three. After joining the army five years ago, he has made many military achievements and promoted repeatedly in just five years. Now he is a fourth-rank general.

The second brother is Chen Xiye who is walking towards the gate of Dongheyuan. Chen Xiye was born to the Lin family in the side room and was born. However, although Chen Xiye is not the eldest wife's biological child, the eldest wife has always loved her quite much. Especially in recent years, after the eldest brother joined the army, the eldest wife has even loved her.

The reason for this is probably related to the fact that Lin was the dowry maid of the eldest wife.

However, Shen Xiye has been fond of literature and martial arts since he was a child. In addition, his eldest wife loved him and his father was not around to discipline him. So now he is eighteen years old, but he has been in a state of work. He even fell into the habit of visiting flower buildings two or three years ago. Recently, because his father came back from the frontier, he has been much more restrained, otherwise he would not be seen at home.

Chen Miye was wearing white clothes, with a jade belt tied with hair, and a jade fan on his waist. He walked from afar and looked at him as a handsome man. After seeing the boy standing at the door, he had not yet approached, he shouted: "Third brother, why are you standing outside the door? Why don't you go in?"

The boy waited for him to approach some time before he replied, "Mrs. Just got up and said it was inconvenient, so he asked me to wait outside the door."

Chen Muye's eyes turned and laughed, saying, "What's the convenience of being inconvenient? It must be those maids who deliberately bully you! Let's go in with my second brother!" After that, he reached out and pulled the boy's sleeve.

The boy moved his feet and took a step back, just dodged his hand, and then said, "No, I'll just wait outside the door."

When the second brother heard this, he curled his lips and said, "You are always so stubborn! What's the benefit of being so stubborn?"

The boy stopped talking.

When the second brother saw this, he smiled helplessly, stepped over the threshold and entered the yard.

The boy was left alone, still standing outside the door of Dongheyuan.

After a long time, someone finally came from behind the door.

The first one appeared was the second brother who had entered before, and then the maid who had the boy waited outside the door. The two walked to the door with a smile and said something. The second brother didn't know what he said, which made the maid laugh constantly, her chest was tightly wrapped around her clothes, and she trembled constantly.

The second brother's eyes stayed there for a long time before he moved away reluctantly.

"Miss Green, is it convenient for Madam now?" The boy suddenly interrupted the two of them and asked at the maid with expressionless face.

The maid Green girl's face, which had a bright smile, suddenly became cold. It changed faster than the sky in that summer.

"Mrs. She just needs to know that you have been here. You don't have to go in and pay your respects, go back." Miss Green said coldly.

When the boy heard this, he turned around and left without saying a word.

Seeing this, the green girl snorted dissatisfiedly and cursed: "It's still so unruly, no wonder the eldest lady doesn't like him!"

The second brother beside him said at this time, "Muzhi is still a child, why are you sceptical about him?" As he said that, he suddenly took out a box of rouge from his waist and handed it to the green girl, and smiled and said, "I'm giving it to you!"
