Chapter 458 Eliminate future troubles

(The rewards and votes from Dalian and Friends are very exciting!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the battle to the West was in full swing and attracted all the attention of the world, the Chinese Kingdom also opened up two other battlefields, but it was unremitting and not very noticeable.
These two battlefields are Goryeo and Mongolia.
How important is the impact of the peninsula where Goryeo is to the future Great China? Many famous Chinese generals, such as Ling Yuan, Wang Yan, Han Shizhong, etc., who are stationed in Yanjing, Liaoyang, and Shangjing, do not understand very well. But it does not mean that Di Lie does not understand.
After the Chinese State destroyed the Jin Dynasty, Di Lie started to attack Goryeo. For this reason, Liaodong Road was established, with Ling Yuan as the chief executive, under the jurisdiction of the Fifth Division, the First Bohai Division, the Liaodong local army adapted from the former Eight Character Army, and the Khitan headquarters army and horses, who were appointed as the governor of Yelu Yuji. There were more than 32,000 troops in the entire Liaodong Road. The target of this army was Goryeo.
There are sufficient reasons for the Chinese attack on Goryeo, because Goryeo was a vassal state of the Jin Kingdom at this time. In Goryeo, there were two remnants of the Jin Kingdom, one of which was missing: Wanyan Xigunai, the commander of the commander of the southeast road of the Jin Kingdom, the commander of the commander of the Han army, and Guo Zhongxun, the commander of the Han army.
Wanyan Xigu was this person, a veteran of the Jin Kingdom. He was of the same generation as Wanyan Yinshu. After years of fighting, he was full of creativity and lacked energy. Therefore, after the founding of the Great Jin Kingdom, he was granted a high position and moved to Liaoyang Prefecture, Tokyo to defend Goryeo.
Wuhu was the Jin general who guarded Shizhou when the Tianzhu Army attacked Taiyuan. Because he was shot by Di Lie, he abandoned the city and fled back to Shangjing. He was dismissed from his post and was severely responsible. Until three years later, because the Jin generals were defeated by the Tianzhu Army in large numbers, they were captured and killed, resulting in a shortage of generals. As a last resort, he was re-appointed. Of course, he would not be sent to the front-line battlefield, but stayed in the rear.
As for the former surrendered general of the Southern Song Dynasty, Guo Zhongxun was appointed as the governor of Xiangzhou after surrendering to the Jin people. However, he had just taken office in March. The Tianzhu Army launched a tiger plan. The 40,000 army swept across the Central Plains. Guo Zhongxun was extremely frightened and did not wait for Wanyan Zongfu's order to lead his troops and horses to abandon the city and flee north. He fled to Yanjing before he stopped. He was very lucky to escape. Since Guo Zhongxun's troops were all soldiers of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Jin people naturally could not leave them on the Song-Jin border like Yanjing, otherwise who would know if this group of troops would defect and return one day. It was with such consideration that Guo Zhongxun was transferred to guard Liaoyang.
The Tianzhu Army vowed to the Northern Expedition, and sent a surprise troops from the sea. From Fuzhou, the troops arrived in Liaoyang. The three generals of Liaoyang Prefecture, seeing that it was not a road, broke through before the Northern Expedition Army surrounded and retreated to Posu Road (now Dandong, Liaoning). Later, because the road to the north was cut off by the Northern Expedition Army, they had to enter the vassal state Goryeo and stationed troops to Haizhou not far from the capital. The Northern Expedition Army was mainly used to siege Shangjing at that time, and Goryeo was in the territory of other countries after all, so in order to avoid troubles, they would not pursue it for the time being.
After the demise of the Jin Kingdom, Goryeo was terrified and frightened. At this time, Goryeo was reigned by Renzong. This Goryeo Kingdom was not the same country as Goguryo, which dared to confront the two empires during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. It was built by Wang Jian, a local tyrant of the former Songyue (Kaicheng), a former Taifeng State minister. It was completely different from Goguryo's strength. From the moment it was established, until four hundred years later, it was replaced by Li Chenggui's Korea, it has always been a vassal state of the Central Plains dynasty. Whoever is strong will hold his thighs, and whoever has the strength will give him the right. This is the fundamental national policy of the Goryeo Dynasty. When Liao was strong, it was a vassal state of Liao; when Jin destroyed Liao, it was attached to Jin; now Dahua destroyed Jin, without further ado, hug him quickly.
During the Tokyo Trial, Goryeo envoys also attended, and were extremely respectful of the power of China and were determined to be attached. But Di Lie did not agree. The reason was very simple. There was still a remnant of the Jin Kingdom in your country. If this problem is not solved, don't talk about anything.
The Goryeo envoy understood the understanding. After returning to China, he offered two strategies to Renzong: First, expel the remnants of the Jin Kingdom stationed in Haizhou. As long as they were driven out of the border, the troops of the Liaoyang Prefecture of the Chinese Kingdom would be cleaned up; second, secretly contacted the former surrendered general Guo Zhongxun of the Song Kingdom and urged him to remove Wanyan Xigu and Wuhu, and use the heads of the two as a great gift to make friends with China.
Exit the Jin people? Goryeo ruler and ministers did not have the courage to do so. Renzong adopted the second strategy, and Guo Zhongxun was very regretful and wanted to return to the south anyway, and the two sides hit it off.
In April of the second year of Tianjian, when wars were raging in the northwest border, a good show of inviting you to fall into the trap was taking place on the peninsula in the northeast.
Wanyan Xigunai, Wuhu and Guo Zhongxun, at the invitation of the Goryeo Kingdom, entered Kaijing to celebrate the concubine of Renzong's new concubine.
Wanyan Xigunai had about 3,000 remaining troops, and their daily food and salary were all supplied by Goryeo, so it was extremely necessary to maintain a good relationship with Goryeo.
It is true that Renzong accepted the concubine. It is true that he used this matter to set up a trap and led Wanyan Xigunai and Wuhu into the trap.
At the banquet, Renzong took the title of retreating, and swords and axes and soldiers came out together. Guo Zhongxun suddenly pulled his blade and stabbed Wanyan Xigunai. Although Wanyan Xigunai was old and had old diseases, he was still agile. At critical moments, he avoided the key points and injured his arms. Wanyan Xigunai rose up Yu Yong, and under the desperate protection of more than ten guards, he rushed out of the palace, jumped off the wall of Kaijing, and escaped from the city.
Another Jin general Wuhu was not so lucky. When he broke through to the palace gate, he was injured by an arrow. Then the knife and axe rushed forward and chopped it into meat sauce.
Wanyan Xigu fled back to the barracks and immediately summoned 2,882 people from all over the army, even ordinary grooms stuffed wooden guns as weapons. Wanyan Xigu did not speak nonsense, but only pointed out three ways to the remaining troops under his command: one, head north, fight the battle with the Chinese army in Liaoyang Prefecture; two, head west, jump into the sea; three, head south, attack and open up Beijing, seize Goryeo, and seek survival in death.
Do you still have to choose? The first two roads will surely die, and there is only a little vitality to go south. Nearly three thousand Jin soldiers, who had no way to retreat, launched a crazy attack on the Koryo Capital City Kaijing under the surviving capital.
After Kaijing was struggling for five days, various soldiers of the king arrived. However, Wanyan Xigunai personally led 300 cavalry and defeated them continuously. The Goryeo army suffered heavy casualties. The recent reinforcement was only one mountain away from Kaijing, but it was never able to approach the capital. This situation was quite similar to the situation when the Jin army besieged Taiyuan.
Emperor Renzong of Gaoli was extremely frightened. In desperation, he sent his confidant Cui Siquan to hold the letter of the country, went down from Jianghuawan, sailed to Fuzhou, and asked for help from the Chinese army.
Half a month later, the letter of help was sent to Liaoyang Prefecture and placed on the desk of the chief general Ling Yuan. Ling Yuan had been appointed as the Minister of War, but he had not taken office. He only submitted a letter to Chang'an, asking for "please promise to destroy the country and return." Di Lie approved it.
Seeing this letter of help, Ling Yuan couldn't help laughing out loud. The opportunity really came as soon as he said it!
On the third day of the fifth month, Ling Yuan, the chief general of Liaodong Road in China, took charge of the command, with Han Shizhong, Fang Hong and Yelu Yuji as deputy. He led a large army of 15,000, divided into sea and land, and headed towards Kaijing. Along the way, he received strong assistance from the military and civilians of the Goryeo government, provided food and grass, and led the way. He was only welcomed by beating drums and drums.
At this time, the outer city of Kaijing had been captured, and Renzong and all the ministers retreated to the palace and struggled to support it. If it weren't for the impending reinforcements of the Chinese army, Renzong had surrendered. The Jin army captured the outer city, started a massacre in Kaijing, and robbed the capital of Goryeo, and was in a bloody storm.
In order to gain time, Renzong and his ministers made a secret discussion and agreed to some of Wanyan Xigu's requests, including one of which was handed over Guo Zhongxun.
Guo Zhongxun, the unlucky guy, was eventually betrayed and sent to Wanyan Xigunai. He was then put into a cloth bag and tied to a ponytail to drag it to death.
Renzong's compromise won three days - in fact, Wanyan Xiguna suffered heavy losses, with nearly half of his troops losing, and he still needed to rest, otherwise the soldiers would find it difficult to continue fighting.
However, Wanyan Xigunai had no chance. Three days later, with Han Shizhong leading nearly 100 warships from the First Bohai Division, the fate of the last remaining army of Dajin was already destined.
On May 19, the second year of Tianjian, the Chinese navy and land army gathered at Kaijing and launched a joint attack on Wanyan Xigu. The Goryeo Palace also opened, and hundreds of palace guards joined in the counterattack. By noon the next day, more than a thousand Jin soldiers below Wanyan Xigu were all annihilated, captured 300, beheaded and threw them into the sea.
But in the midst of the chaos, a tragedy occurred - a "Jin soldiers" took advantage of the chaos to rush into the palace and killed Renzong and a group of important officials who were lacking protection, and Goryeo lost the king.
In July, the emperor of China sent envoys to Kaijing with books and seals, and ordered the eldest son of King Renzong of Goryeo, the six-year-old prince, to succeed to the throne, and his mother, Queen Gongrui, to regent behind the curtain. Hong Hao, the chief of the General Administration of Liaodong Road of China, to serve as Dalu (equivalent to the prime minister); Fang Hong became the general (the highest military position of the "Martial Clan" of Goryeo), and Han Shizhong became the general, jointly maintaining the stability of Goryeo from both sea and land.
At this point, Goryeo has basically been controlled in his hands, and it is only a matter of time before he can roll the round and pinch it flat.
...
While Ling Yuan was sending troops to Goryeo and striving for the destruction of the country, He Yuanqing, the commander of the Second Field Army, was leading his Fourth Division, and three thousand Jurchen cavalry led by A Shu, the leader of the six tribes of Heshilie, to set out from Linhuang Mansion and sweep across the grassland.
He Wuqing's combat missions on this trip were: one was to annihilate the remnants of Xia State entrenched in Zhenzhou, and commanded the troops of Liang Maizhong; the other was to collect the Jingbian City of the Jin Dynasty (now Manchu District, Inner Mongolia). Then, he swept away the Mengwushi Wei (i.e. Mongolian) tribes on both sides of the Ounan River.
The edict was issued from Chang'an and designated to be implemented by He Yuanqing.
It is the right to annihilate Liang Maizhong and seize Zhenzhou; it is also the right to recover Jingbiancheng; it is also the right to sweep away Mengwushi Wei, intimidate foreign races, and let these guys who only believe in fists know to respect the strong. The only thing He Yuanqing couldn't understand was that there was a secret order that came at the same time as the emperor's edict, which specifically mentioned that the Qiyan tribe of Mengwushi Wei should be screened and all the men with the surname "Borjijin" were sent to Chang'an.
Why did the emperor pay so much attention to this tribe and surname? He Yuanqing didn't understand, but it didn't matter. It was not difficult to handle, just follow the emperor's wishes.
Jingbian City is in the north and Zhenzhou is in the west. He Yuanqing decided to divide his troops into two groups: he personally led the 10th Division of the Fourth Division and the 11th Brigade to attack Zhenzhou west. The 12th Brigade and the 3,000 Jurchen cavalry of A Shu recovered Jingbian, and then wiped out the Mengwu Shiwei, focusing on cleaning up the Qiyan tribe, and tied the men of the Borjijin family to the Central Plains.
He Yuanqing believed that letting Jurchens who were familiar with Mengwushiwei do this would do better and more thoroughly than himself.
The army set out in June and divided into two groups. He Yuanqing went westward and continuously showed his military power to the grassland tribes along the way, making them respectful and sincere. It took nearly two months and took more than a thousand miles to pack up the tribes along the way and put them in obediently. Tribes sent their own soldiers to join the army in the west. He Yuanqing also refused everyone, free cannon fodder and guides, don't be idle.
In mid-August, the army arrived at Wugu Mountain, less than a hundred miles away from Zhenzhou. He Yuanqing originally expected a major battle, and his subordinates were ready to fight, but what they were waiting for was the peace talks sent by Liang Maizhong, the commander of the Zhenzhou army.
Peace talk? He Yuanqing almost laughed. Unconditional surrender is the only way to survive, so how can we be qualified to negotiate?
It made me calm, and I smiled lightly and showed my bargaining chips - I said a name.
Although he has been a general for many years and often uses the principle of "Shan Tai collapses in front of him and his color remains unchanged, and the elk is rising on the left but his eyes are not instant", at this moment, He Yuanqing still couldn't help but widen his eyes and his heart beat wildly. What a good guy! He originally thought that this trip to the northwest was gone without success, but he could still catch a big fish!
It was indeed a big fish. After He Yuanqing agreed to Liang Maizhong's request, Liang Maizhong worked hard to cross the desert and fled here from the Yan Army Division of Heishui Town. More than 60 people, and all of them handed over to the Hua Army.
Poor Li Qianshun wanted to gather the remaining troops, but he intended to make a comeback, but was betrayed by his subjects who knew practical things and hated the northern border.
The fuse of the war between Xia was Liang Maizhong, who completed the final fatal blow to Xia Kingdom. It was Liang Maizhong. It was really a defeat, Xiao He and Xiao He succeeded.
