Chapter 41 The Four Volumes of the Langka Sutra
In addition to introducing the recent situation of Qiqianzhai in Li Hu, he also attached some information in the letter that Shiai County Magistrate Yin Kaishan was impeached for losing his troops and losing his generals when he attacked Qiqianzhai.
This was what Li Chongjiu expected. Suddenly, Li Chongjiu could not help but remembered the scene when Li Zhiwan came, who was standing in the pavilion when he was in Shangdang County.
Emperor Yang of Sui was about to send troops to conquer Liaodong by one million. This time it was a heavy blow to the Sui Dynasty, but it was a turning point in the trough for the Li family.
In addition, there are Li Mi, Zhai Rang, and Dou Jiande. They should be ready to go.
The Sui Dynasty lost its deer and the whole world would chase it. This is the future pattern of the world. Whether you want it or not, you must join it.
This is the personal fate, which is tormented by the fate of the world's revolutionary dynasty. The difference is that some people can splash out of Mars, while others can only sink to the bottom.
Finally, Li Hu's letter said that it was all a few words of advice. The letter was careful that Li Chongjiu's life was not easy, and he also asked someone to bring Li Chongjiu a leather jacket and his usual money.
At the end of the letter, it is said that everything is well for father and brothers, and don’t think it’s up to you.
Seeing that Li Hu and the brothers from Qiqian Village were doing well, Li Chongjiu was relieved and thought of those familiar faces.
As for the kind and warm feeling when calling Xiaojiu, Li Chongjiu felt a warm feeling in his heart. Although he did not have memories of the past, Li Chongjiu also knew that in the village, Li Hu had no time to take care of himself, so he grew up by taking care of every household in the village. He grew up eating a hundred families and wearing a hundred clothes.
So for Li Chongjiu, they all have a concern for themselves.
After closing the letter paper, Li Chongjiu felt hungry. He went to the dining hall for dinner and drank a bowl of steaming white porridge, and felt relieved.
This day was the day when lay disciples returned home to visit their relatives once a month, so Li Chongjiu lived alone in the temple, and had nothing to do, so he had the idea of walking around.
Li Chongjiu saw the rain and mist outside, and Shaoshi Mountain was a green scenery in early spring. He thought that he had been to Shaolin Temple for nearly three months, and he had not traveled all over Shaoshi Mountain. He thought that he would have been over-explored due to commercial development in the future.
At this moment, Li Chongjiu just wanted to see the original scene of the original color.
He immediately put on a straw raincoat and climbed up the Wuqi Peak with a bamboo hat.
The spring rain wets the clothes, looking from afar, the mountains and rivers far below Wumei Peak are covered with smoke, just like heavy landscape paintings.
The fresh spring breeze blows coldly on his face. Li Chongjiu cuts bamboo as a stick. He hears the sound of rain hitting bamboo leaves on his ears, and the sound of grass leaves on his feet is also rustling.
When I reached the peak of Wuma Peak, I suddenly saw a stone cave. This was the cave that was facing the wall for nine years after Bodhidharma came to Shaolin Temple.
At that moment, Li Chong walked into the cave nine times and was about to look up and visit, but he might as well see an old monk sitting cross-legged on a stone.
Li Chongjiu still thought that Bodhidharma was resurrected, but when he looked closely, he turned out to be Jueyuantoutuo.
Seeing that Jueyuan was entering Zen, Li Chongjiu did not dare to disturb him, nor did he take a step away, but just stood there with his hands behind his back and looked around.
I saw that the Bodhidharma Cave was very spacious, and there were many Sanskrit engraved on the stone walls around it.
The words are all over the place, obviously, and it is not long before the years. There is still a large stone in the cave, with a smooth surface and particularly eye-catching one. It should be the Shadow Stone of the Face of the Wall of Bodhidharma.
"Above this stone wall is Bodhidharma. The Zen practice method of Zen, Yijin Sutra and Marrow Cleansing Sutra, which were written by hand, were all engraved in Sanskrit, and it has been many years since then."
Li Chongjiu heard Jueyuan's voice, and heard that the wall was the Yijin Jing and the Marrow Cleansing Sutra, and he couldn't help but be surprised. These two books were famous in later generations.
According to legend, Huike, the second ancestor of Zen Buddhism, did not understand the meaning of the scriptures left by his master Bodhidharma. Later, on the road of Chang'an, he met a young man with great martial arts and talked to him for three days and three nights. Finally, he confirmed each other and realized the principles of the Yijin Sutra.
And that young man was Li Jing, Duke of Wei.
However, Li Chongjiu's meaning of hearing is far away. These two books are actually the methods of Zen practice. At that moment, Li Chongjiu smiled and said, "I thought the Yijin Sutra and the Marrow Cleansing Sutra were the ancestors of Bodhidharma. What secret martial arts were brought from India?"
Jueyuan smiled when he heard this and said, "This is a far-fetched statement by the world, and even some misunderstandings."
Li Chongjiu not only asked curiously: "So will Master Bodhidharma know martial arts?"
After hearing Li Chongjiu's question, Jue Yuan paused and said with a smile: "This, I don't know this. When I entered the world, Master Bodhidharma had already passed away."
"What's more, Master Bodhidharma practiced the Touta practice and used the Lankavata Sutra to pass on the lamp sealing heart. The monks who practiced the Touta practice did not stay in the settlements, so Bodhidharma lived alone in the stone cave for nine years and did not face the wall. In this way, outsiders were unable to know whether Master Bodhidharma possessed martial arts." Li Chongjiu nodded after hearing this, thinking that if Master Bodhidharma really passed on some martial arts, then the monks in Shaolin Temple would not encounter thieves and would leave in one battle and would have no power to resist. In the end, he would have to work with Tan Zong to turn the tide.
Li Chongjiu and Jueyuan talked for a long time, and then they went down the mountain together. After leaving the cave, the spring rain had stopped and the road was a bit slippery.
Jueyuan is already old and his pace is not very steady. He even needs Li Chongjiu to support him on the road.
When the two approached the temple, Jueyuan suddenly stopped, held a bamboo stick, looked at Shaolin Temple and said, "The time to sit in the latin tomorrow is over. I will stay away from the old monk soon and continue to be a ascetic. I don't know when this time will I go back to Shaolin."
"Today, Japan is meditating in the Bodhidharma cave. Although it has nothing to gain, but when it meets you, it can be regarded as a destiny."
Speaking of this, Jueyuan took out a cotton bag from under the monk's robe and said, "This is the four volumes of Lankavatara Sutra, which was translated by the monks in this temple, and copied by my handbook. The old monk has no body and no other thing to give you. These four volumes of sutra are also a commemoration of you and me."
Li Chongjiu was surprised when he heard this, Jueyuan smiled and said, "I'm leaving tomorrow. It's impossible to carry this scripture. Instead of keeping borers, it's better to give it to me. Don't refuse."
Li Chongjiu felt that his intention was very strong. Li Chongjiu immediately took it respectfully and said, "The elder dare not refuse the gift. The master gave it to you with great affection, and the inscription is touched by the five inner world."
Jueyuan laughed at him and immediately left.
The next day, Jueyuan and the monks Tautuo in Shaolin Temple went down the mountain and went ascetic to do their own things.
Before leaving, Li Chongjiu and Tanzong were all preparing to see each other off. Later, they realized that Yuantoutuo had already set off early in the morning, and it was obvious that he was not willing to see the parting and was worried about it.
After hearing this, Tanzong cried loudly in public like a child. Li Chongjiu stood on Shaoshi Mountain, looking at the clouds and mist in the distance, and was also very moved.
That night, under the oil lamp in the monk's room, there were lights of sparks and stars.
Li Chongjiu sat cross-legged and opened the cloth package given by Jueyuan. Four thin scriptures were stacked in the middle. One of them was written by "Lankavatara Sutra", and a line of fly-headed boys were attached below. The disciple Jueyuan recorded it carefully.
