Chapter 30 Everyone has a friend

The sun gradually sinks westward and the rain gradually decreases, but it always keeps going.

Both of them looked ahead, the golden afterglow of the west sky shone on the roads that were no one in the distance. These stone bricks that were stepped on by thousands of feet every day were as smooth as ice after being wet by the rain.

"Young Master is alone," asked Mei Shier, "whether should I come to pick you up?"

"You're on the road." Feng Yan replied with a smile, looking at the drizzle at her feet, "Mr. Mei should like rainy days very much?"

"Yeah." Mei Shi Er nodded, "I like it very much. It's a little cleaner after it rains. It's quiet on rainy nights and sleeps well."

Mei Shier looked sideways and found that Feng Yan was looking at him.

"...Why do young master see me like this?"

Feng Yan's eyes did not dodge. She stared at the person in front of her and whispered, "I was just thinking, how could a person like Mr. Mei like to do the job of growing flowers and planting trees?"

Mei Shier lowered his eyes and smiled, "What's so strange about this? It's just that my love for flowers and plants is more than my disgust for turning seeds. The grass and trees become cute, making mud and dust able to bear... Maybe that's it."

Feng Yan didn't ask any more.

For a moment, only the sound of rain and wind were left among the two.

When the sky turned darker, Dada's horse hooves came from the distance. Feng Yan looked up and saw a familiar carriage coming towards this side not far away.

"The person who picked me up is here." Feng Yan turned around and handed Tang Mama back to Mei Shier, "Thank you Mr. Mei for Tang Mama."

When Feng Yan reached out to hand over the hand, he saw that Mei Shier seemed to have a gray-white piccolo on his waist. There was a piece of thumb-sized jade at the tail of the flute, and a bundle of small red tassels down.

However, the flute is very short, almost half of the normal bamboo flute, and there are only three flute holes on it.

Mei Shier took Tang Mama, and he put his hands in his sleeve again, and his wide sleeve blocked Feng Yan's view.

"You're welcome, see you." He whispered.

Mei Shier looked at Feng Yan, and his eyes were still reluctant to move away from the person in front of him, but today's time was obviously already here.

Feng Yan nodded to Mei Shier and then walked straight into the hazy drizzle in front of her.

I was very stunned when I went not far away, and quickly drove the slowed carriage faster.

When he was four or five steps away from Feng Yan, Wei Xingzhen jumped out of the car with an ambient and quickly covered Feng Yan under the umbrella.

"Why did you come..." Feng Yan's voice was a little angry.

Wei Xingzhen took off his cloak with one hand and put it on Feng Yan's shoulder. Feng Yan immediately grabbed the edge of the cloak and wrapped herself tightly.

"...I was dragged by Master Du." Wei Xingzhen explained in a low voice, "A Yan got in the car first... Let's talk in the car."

He helped Feng Yan get into the car. Just as he was about to collect the umbrella, he suddenly felt something was wrong with the place that Yu Guang had just swept.

Wei Xingzhen turned his head keenly—just met Mei Shier's gaze.

He recognized this young man, the doctor who gave Li acupuncture last night.

The two of them were more than ten steps apart, and Mei Shier smiled and bowed slightly to Wei Xingzhen.

Wei Xingzhen's eyes briefly stopped on Mei Shier, and then nodded to him, as a response, and finally put away the umbrella and sat into the carriage.

The last bit of sunset fell, and the reins were raised, the carriage turned around and headed towards the Feng Mansion.

There was no light in the carriage. In the darkness, Feng Yan sat near Wei Xingzhen and hugged herself in a corner of the car.

"Why is the weather suddenly so cold?" Feng Yan sighed, "When I came out in the afternoon, I was still wondering if I had dressed too much..."

"Is it still cold to cover my cloak?"

"Yeah." Feng Yan nodded.

"Then you lean over."

In the dim carriage, Feng Yan couldn't see Wei Xingzhen's expression clearly, but after hearing what he said, he moved about in his direction.

"Get closer."

Feng Yan moved for about a little longer, and suddenly felt something appear behind her.

A large fluffy fox tail gently surrounded her and pushed her whole body towards Wei Xingzhen's end. Wei Xingzhen's movement stopped until her forehead pressed against his jaw.

"Your tail?" Feng Yan asked softly.

"Um."

Feng Yan laughed silently, then hugged the end of the tail in the dark, like a corner of a quilt.

"...so warm." Feng Yan said with her eyes closed.

Wei Xingzhen's tail tip moved a little unconsciously. He looked elsewhere and whispered, "Talk back to the topic just now, this afternoon, Du Tianshi--"

Feng Yan suddenly shook her head, and she lay down on her side and rested her head on Wei Xingzhen's knee.

"I'll talk about these things when I'm home. Now I..." Feng Yan yawned very lightly, "I want to sleep for a while."

"Yeah, OK."

The carriage bumped gently on the road.

Wei Xingzhen felt Feng Yan's weight, and his hands passed through her long hair and gently rubbed them.

...

On the other side, Tianzhu Tower near the river is still crowded tonight.

On a small table by the window, Du Qianfeng was piled with chicken bones in front of him, and he was eating it all over.

From time to time, he stretched out his hand to stroke the two beards on his mouth so that they would not be sent into his mouth with the food.

A full burp surged from Du Qiangfeng's belly.

"Tell me." He put down his chopsticks and looked at Ji Ran sitting opposite him with a kind face.

Ji Ran was puzzled for a moment, "What did you say?"

Du Huanfeng stretched out a finger and shook it in the air, "You are not honest."

Ji Ran was puzzled and before he could ask what he wanted to confess, Du Huanfeng laughed, "You won't ask me to go to Yuzhulou if you're fine. What do you want me to help this time?"

Ji Ran then realized that, but he seemed even more cramped.

He reached out and compared several gestures, "First of all, what about the problem I encountered this time...it is not my problem."

"It's a friend's problem."

"Yes." Ji Ran nodded.

Du Qiangfeng crossed his fingers with a serious expression, "Then what problems did he encounter, your friend?"

"He... has encountered some minor trouble recently." Ji Ran said softly, "To put it simply, he owes a girl a favor, but this girl may want him to give up on her body. Now that the window paper has not been broken, how can he let this girl get out of trouble as soon as possible and give up such unrealistic ideas?"

Du Huanfeng shrank his chin when he heard this, "Why are you so kind? You have to agree to him when you come up."

"...It's a life-saving favor."

Du Xuanfeng frowned and his expression was extremely serious, "I'll ask seriously."

"you say."

"You friend recently..." Du Huanfeng raised his left eyebrows slightly and leaned forward slightly. "Has he also been fished out of the river by a lady from a wealthy family?"
