Five hundred and ninetieth chapters on the 20th

It is very difficult for a normal scholar to write a top CNS journal. If you don’t have excellent creativity and write a paper in the form of project promotion, you can publish a paper to the top journal in six or seven years, even if you are blessed by the Emperor.

More often, a scholar had a flash of inspiration during his long life and was full of luck. He wrote a paper full of aura and published it successfully in CNS-level journals, and that's all. The peak of his life ended at this time, and in the second half of his life, he either educated students or wasted his years.

Of course, there are also some methods that have a high chance of publishing papers in top journals, such as the tracking and recording method in biomedical science: select a sample and track it for a long time.

For example, if 4,000 primary hypertensive patients are tracked for 40 years and analysed and written papers, if the content is detailed and the conclusions are meaningful, it is very likely that the paper will be published in top journals such as CNS, or at least in top professional journals, such as the New England Journal of Medicine or the famous Lancet. Their influence factors are even higher than those of CNS, and their overall influence is slightly weak, but they have the same or even stronger enthusiasm for the academic career of scholars.

However, large samples and long-term time are the key, and the final analysis is not easy to be valuable. Sometimes, God is not as good as others wish, and I have not reached a good conclusion for twenty or thirty years, and it is in vain to follow it for many years.

But if the above requirements are met, generally speaking, more than 25 years of follow-up research will have a great hope of publishing top journals, and 40 years of course it is more stable. The reason is very simple. A scholar who has his own project team must be over 30 years old, and most of them will get 35 or even 40 years old. If they make records steadily from the beginning, and make records for 30 years, and they will be 60 or 70 years old, they can retire at the age of 69 in a country like Sweden, and a record of 30 years is also rare.

As for the record that lasts forty years, this sample alone is of great research value. Scientists are humans, and journals are also composed of humans. Even if it is a top journal, you will publish the results of such seriousness and hard work in your lifetime.

Tracking and recording method can be said to be the easiest way for ordinary research to publish top papers. However, there are actually very few ordinary researchers who are willing to choose this method and persist in it, because if they really persist, they will be different.

In short, being able to publish a top paper, publish two top papers, or three top papers are all qualitatively different. Using the most common project promotion method, don’t waste any time. It takes 15 years to publish three papers. PHD graduated in his thirties and get his third top paper, it is almost fifty years old. When a scholar at this age publishes three top papers, he is almost an internationally tycoon.

If you fall into China, you will be a complete academician.

However, the scarcest thing for Chinese scholars in the 1980s is time. Of course, most Chinese scholars do not need to study for a doctorate, but that does not really save time. Things that should be learned are indispensable. Not to mention the subjects that have accumulated hundreds of years of math and physics, biology is relatively new. Without more than five years of study, there is no chance to publish SCI-level papers. Without ten years of time, it is impossible to try top-level papers.

An exception like Yang Rui is extremely difficult to happen under normal circumstances, and it was even more difficult to happen in China in the 1980s. When Yang Rui talked about "CELL", everyone realized that Yang Rui was Yang Rui who published a top-level paper!

"Yang Rui, come on, let's get in the car first, and then let's take a break when you arrive at the hotel. Lao Hu is a little confused. What's the point of fighting for this? Where is it not sleeping?" Professor Zhang Dayong smiled and pulled Yang Rui over.

"I'm not fighting for the location of the hotel. I feel that so many of us have worked hard to create a potassium channel project. The efforts we put in place should not be slandered." Yang Rui did not hesitate to fight for his own interests in the name of the collective.

Of course, face scanning is also a very important task.

He had previously painted his face at the International Medical and Bioengineering Conference and Coca-Cola, which left a name for colleagues from colleges and universities in Beijing. The opportunity now is even more rare. Those who can attend the International Genetic Conference in the United States are all big shots from all over the world. Yang Rui naturally needs to increase his presence as much as possible.

Only by scanning the face and qualitative changes can Professor Hu avoid this situation.

Professor Zhang Dayong did not realize Yang Rui's purpose and nodded, "What he said makes sense, the potassium ion channel project is perfect and extremely rare. You have made outstanding contributions to the Chinese academic community."

He seemed to have thought about the statement, and then said with a very political commissar temperament: "It is not easy to do projects, but it is even more difficult to win competition. Comrade Xiao Yang, I welcome you to join our academic family, even if you have not graduated yet."

Zhang Dayong was amused by himself, laughed twice, and said, "Peking University is of high quality. I hope our students from the University of Science and Technology of China have not been dropped."

"Thank you. The students of the University of Science and Technology of China are definitely not left behind. In a few years, if the graduates of the University of Science and Technology of China want to hold a class reunion, they will probably have to be held abroad." Yang Rui half-jokingly complimented.

The University of Science and Technology of China is the school with the highest proportion of overseas students. As for the students' opportunities in the 1980s, the current state of the University of Science and Technology of China makes it extremely popular.

Professor Zhang Dayong nodded proudly and said, "Xiao Yang, I didn't remember to ask you yesterday, your project is very fierce."

Yang Rui was stunned for a moment and smiled and said, "We have a financial backer."

"kindness?"

“We got some funding.”

“Where’s it.”

Yang Rui smiled without saying anything. He didn't need to explain, and no one else could do anything about it. Instead, it aroused everyone's interest.

The next day, the gentlemen who lived two hours apart took a bus to the Sofitel Hotel, and Professor Hu followed the team leader closely.

Professor Hu looked at Yang Rui with disdain, but did not come forward to speak again.

Naturally, Yang Rui would not pay attention to him.

A group of people are registered in turn and then assigned to different locations. Only on the first morning did everyone have a seat. The shortlisted gentlemen will listen to keynote speeches in the main hall, and the rest will watch live TV in the sub- hall. Compared with the projectors in later generations, the TV mode now used can basically give people a basic projection.

Whether in the main hall or the deputy hall, people who understand the keynote speech mainly rely on reading printed documents rather than actually listening to them.

No matter how slow the speech is, it is beyond the scope of understanding of ordinary people. If you encounter a refined one and don’t know anything after listening to the speech, such a speech will be meaningless.

The team leader received the speech in one breath and distributed it to everyone.

Seeing that he was about to enter the lecture hall separately, Professor Hu deliberately raised his voice and sighed pretendingly: "There are no young people who are now carrying forward their style. They have been studying moral articles for decades, and the more they learn, the more they go back."

Yang Rui looked back at him, walked forward without saying anything, went straight to the door of the main hall, handed over the invitation letter, and walked in.

Professor Hu did not want his invitation letter, but he really wanted to make trouble. Unexpectedly, Yang Rui simply refused to accept the call, but instead made Professor Hu very angry, so he had to say to others: "Look, look, this young man is lawless with his little ability!"

"Yang Rui is not a little skill. He published a CELL article, not just to be fun. His grades are at your age, and I don't know what to do." Zhang Dayong didn't care about an old man who was about to graduate, so he just said something casually.

"Se'er, I don't know, I thought I had given my son to the Americans!" Professor Hu killed CELL.

Zhang Dayong shook his head and smiled bitterly, and said to the team leader: "You should take good care of Professor Hu, don't run around if you have nothing to do."

The leader nodded helplessly, pulled Professor Hu to sit down, and whispered.

Professor Hu sat alone in a chair against the wall, and suddenly felt like he was betrayal of his relatives and gritted his teeth and said, "One Yang Rui charmed them. A twenty-year-old young man, how great can he be? Do you think?"

The team leader thought: People ignore you because you are retired.

On the surface, the team leader nodded and repeatedly advised: "If you have something to do, let's talk about it later when you return to China. When you are abroad, you have to pay attention to international influence."

After returning to China, it's nothing to do with him.

Professor Hu hummed twice and said with a heartache: "I'm just afraid that Yang Rui will ruin the image of our country. You see, such young people, at least they don't understand the respect of the elderly, and let Americans see us, and we want to say that we are barbarians. Just talk about his academics and potassium ion channels, I think they are all fooling people. This time, if he doesn't do it well, he will reveal the stuff."

As he was speaking, an American hurried to the Chinese delegation and asked, "Mr. Yang Rui, is Mr. Yang Rui here?"

"Go in." Someone pointed in a daze.

The person who came thanked him, spread his legs and chased him in.

The Chinese delegation looked at each other, not knowing what was going on.
