Chapter 137: Calm September

The little "accident" that occurred on the first Sunday after the second grade started did not have much impact on Matthew Wakefield.

He still acted as usual, and seemed to have forgotten all the things that happened the night before the next day.

He still kindly called his name to his roommates and generously copied the homework for them... At least in the eyes of his roommates, Matthew did not hold any revenge at all.

Of course, these are just appearances.

In fact, Matthew became more vigilant than before...

He began to minimize the time he spent in the dormitory as much as possible, and always kept his wand by his side even when he was sleeping at night.

Although he didn't think that those "naughty kids" dared to attack him in the dormitory.

But at least... it's better to be as careful as possible.

...

On the other hand, due to Professor Horace Slughorn's "request", Matthew contacted Miss Elaine Shafik more frequently and became more proactive.

The innocent Miss Shafik had encountered many troubles during this period at Hogwarts, but Matthew was very enthusiastic and helped her a lot.

The relationship between the two became very good, at least Matthew believed that he was now a "friend" that Miss Shafik trusted more.

Elaine Shafik is the most important clue that Matthew can grasp now...

If Matthew guessed it well, it was her father, Shafik, manager of Lihen Bookshop, who transported the book from Italy to the UK a year ago...and then, it accidentally fell into Matthew's hands.

If we can follow the clue of Miss Shafik and figure out the true origin and true face of the book... Matthew can really relax.

The small accident on the first Sunday after school started, although it was a help to Matthew...

But in Matthew's view, it may also be a warning.

The book can suddenly manipulate itself without any premise reaction, aim its magic at others, and use magic that it cannot usually use in normal times... This also means that it can also manipulate itself, then aim its magic wand at itself, and then use a spell like "Awanda Sauvigny"...

Their strength is not on the same level, and there is no room for tricks to deal with it.

If that book is kind toward itself, then it will naturally be considered as nothing has happened.

But if it has a certain malicious attitude towards itself—

Matthew must show "trust" and "trust" in it as much as possible!

After all, judging from previous performances, that book cannot know what it really thinks...

...

The rainy September is gradually over.

The weather began to clear and dark clouds dissipated from the sky, although the temperatures became lower and lower.

The past month is just like the few months after Morgana was defeated by Professor Grindelwald last year... the whole school is extremely peaceful and everything goes well.

Those Aurors who live on campus will not take the initiative to disturb teachers and students; as for those dementors, they usually do not dare to step into the castle.

As for the courses—

The transformation class has become a course that most people like... The professor "Severus Snape" has a very good temper, is humorous, and has a deep knowledge of transformation... At least he is much more popular than Professor Troca a year ago, although Matthew didn't like him very much out of a gut feeling.

But Matthew also has to admit that their classes in the Transformation Class are all quite interesting:

For example, a pair of little white rabbits turn into a pair of slippers, a mouse turns into a cup, and a teapot turns into a turtle (judging the deformation results by observing whether its tail is still a spout and sprays steam, or the transformed turtle still has a shell made of willow pattern, etc.)

Professor Severus Snape also often prepares small gifts to reward students who have made significant progress in the deformation class.

Almost all students like Professor Severus Snape.

Perhaps there is only one person-

That was Harry Evans of Gryffindor... Mr. Evans ended up performing poorly in the final exam due to some accidents last semester and became the only student in the same grade as Matthew and the only student who "remained the grade".

However, it is said that he performed well in the first grade in the new semester.

Of course, that's in courses other than embodied art.

Matthew once deliberately asked, it is said that in the transformation class, Professor Severus Snape, who was always gentle, was extremely strict with Mr. Evans.

Even according to the first-year freshmen, it is a bit harsh.

Mr. Evans should be the only student who is not favored by Professor Severus Snape.

Some people speculate that this may be because "Professor Snape" hates this kind of "repeater" in his heart.

...

The courses of herbal medicine have become a trend towards disasters.

The older the Flor flowers grow, the more aggressive they become...

Many spikes grow on their stems, which will pierce into the skin if you are not careful... and those spike vesicles contain a large amount of venom.

Although you wear dragon leather gloves on your hands, you will not be stabbed by them; other parts of your body are different.

The spikes of those Flor flowers can easily pierce the wizards' robes and inject their venom into their bodies...

Mrs. Pomfrey was busy. After almost every herbal class, one or two "poisoned" students were sent to the school hospital... Although this toxicity was not too strong, it actually caused great trouble to her work.

Professor Sprout was a little helpless about this. Although she would repeatedly emphasize the precautions when contacting Flor Flower in class... but this could not be resisted. Students often "make stupid" in practice.

Matthew once heard Professor Sprout complain in private that he would apply to President Rozier next semester to prepare a set of dragon-skin protective clothing for every student who participated in herbal medicine class.

As for other courses, there is no storm.

...

On the last Saturday of September, Matthew was given a notice when he returned to Slytherin's common room.

Tomorrow, Sunday, students in grades and above will get the opportunity to go to Hogsmeade Village.

For first-year students, they can only be allowed to travel to Hogsmeade during Christmas and Easter holidays.

And students above the second grade seem to have more opportunities...
