Chapter 197 The new teacher

I lit the fireplace, then grabbed a handful of Floor powder from the flower pot next to it and threw it in.

As the emerald green flames emerged, Matthew shouted: "Diagon Alley!"

Then, he disappeared into the emerald green flame.

The feeling of using Floor powder for traveling is indeed not very good; it is like riding a roller coaster, which makes people feel uncomfortable... After a dizzy moment, Matthew successfully appeared in front of another fireplace.

This is also a rather familiar place…the “Broken Cauldron Bar” in Diagon Alley.

Old Tom, whose teeth were lost, passed by slowly; obviously, he was already familiar with the sudden appearance of the wizard in the bar fireplace, and he was not surprised at all.

"Good morning, Mr. Abbo!"

Matthew greeted him, then entered the patio in the backyard and walked into Diagon Alley.

...

Diagon Alley, the largest wizard commercial street in the UK, looks much deserted than before.

Many shops around are closed, and there are not many pedestrians on the street.

But it is also possible, because it is too early.

Fortunately, several important stores are still open.

Matthew went to the bookstore first and bought the books he needed; of course it was not Lihen Bookstore, which had closed down a year ago. He went to the Foyle Bookstore north of Diagon Alley.

Then he went to a leather shop next to him and bought a dragon-skin protective suit; then he bought a crystal ball at a magic item store.

Finally, he stopped outside the Madame Mojin robe store.

Mrs. Mojin is a short and fat witch with a nice smile and wearing a purple dress.

"Are you here to buy a new robe, my dear?" She stood at the door of the store. Before Matthew could speak, she took the initiative to introduce: "Can you ask which college you are from?"

"Slytherin!" Matthew answered honestly.

"Then you can try this!" Mrs. Mojin took out a silver-green robe from the hanger: "We have a lot of people here. To be honest, there are a few young people trying on clothes inside now."

"Okay, thank you." Matthew nodded.

Behind the store, several tall boys stood on the footstool, and several witches were pinning their robes with pins... They were obviously several grades older than Matthew; and the robes in their hands were yellow and black, and they were students of Hufflepuff Academy.

Madam Mokin asked Matthew to stand on another footstool beside them, put a robe on him and fitted his length with pins.

At the same time, Matthew also heard the senior students of Hufflepuff, chattering and talking:

"Have you heard about 'Professor Snape'?" a freckled student said mysteriously: "It is said that he has resigned from Hogwarts!"

"What's going on? I like him very much!" On the other side, a slightly shorter student asked in surprise.

"His true identity has been exposed...'Severus Snape' is just a pseudonym. His real name is Remus Lupin, a werewolf recorded in the Ministry of Magic..." The freckled students continued: "Although it is a rumor, many people already know it!"

"We werewolf... we actually lived with a werewolf for a year... It's so scary!" A young man with a pale face and a thin body looked a little scared.

"My father said that Professor Grindelwald has always been a little irresponsible in choosing a teacher..."

"In addition to the dead Professor Slughorn, aren't we going to add two new teachers next year?"

When Matthew's eyes suddenly became a little sore when he heard the name of Horace Slughorn.

"Don't be so stiff, kid, take it easy!" Mrs. Mojin reminded.

Matthew nodded quickly.
