This is the last article in the series of book reviews written for "Sister Illusion". When I wrote these words, I originally planned to analyze this novel that is different from conventional ones from a relatively professional perspective. On the one hand, it will help book friends.

You can look at this "unconventional" ending from a different perspective from the confusion and indignation at the ending. On the other hand, you can feel what Chopper wants to express about love in this novel.

But I didn't expect that every time I hit the keyboard, I always don't know how to comment. The vivid characters and beautiful words are like a cage, limiting all my thoughts to the catharsis of emotions. Writing book reviews has become a book review.

This is how I dealt with my emotions after the ending of "Sister".

This article is an analysis of the characterizations of the protagonists Cheng Xiaoyu, Su Yuxi, Duanmu Linsha and Yijuin Jingmei. Some of the remaining characters were originally thought of as written, but they did not have much impact or effect on the plot, unlike the protagonists.

There was also a gap in their image portrayal, so I had to reluctantly give up.

I hope that every book friend who can read these words will like this story and recall the moments that were touched by these characters.

When you pass by my bloom

In fact, I was very hesitant about whether to write the role of Duanmu Linsha. In the first half of the book, there are so many scenes, and Chopper's portrayal of her was very attentive, and she could vaguely compete with Xia Shamo.

But after the earthquake chapter, more than half of it was missing, and it almost became an invisible character. It really played the role of Su Yuxi's eyes. This was also a doubt I had when I was reading the book.

It wasn't until I talked with Chopper about the setting of each character after the completion of "Sister Illusion" that I realized that Duanmu Linsha was supposed to die in the Japanese earthquake in the original setting. Later, because of book friends and financial backers,

Serious opposition and the loss of haute couture made Chopper change his plan and let Duanmu Linsha survive. However, because she had no place in the subsequent plot, she became the most tragic heroine (laughs).

Duanmu Linsha has always played the role of Cheng Xiaoyu's fan girl since she appeared. She is not disgusted by Cheng Xiaoyu's image as a fat boy, but because of her admiration for Cheng Xiaoyu's musical talent, she falls into a strange emotion. Well

, is the legendary girl’s budding love.

However, Duanmu Linsha's character design is very clear, and there are some overlaps with Xia Shamo in performance. Both of them seem to be good wives and mothers, both are kind, gentle, and kind to others. But they have different personalities.

Spiritual core. Xia Shamo's gentleness is independent of the world. No matter how rough things are outside, I grow up quietly. Duanmu Linsha's gentleness is the way to live in the world. She keeps a subtle distance from everyone and will not be easy.

If she steps into anyone's world, she will not accept anyone into her world.

Including Cheng Xiaoyu.

In her feelings towards Cheng Xiaoyu, Duanmu Linsha has always behaved very strangely, moving forward and backward, always drifting in Cheng Xiaoyu's world. She is neither like Xia Shamo, who chases after everything like a moth to the flame, nor

Unlike Yuri Izumi in "The Idol Project", she has a clear understanding of herself and therefore maintains an appropriate and beneficial distance.

But if you think about it carefully, this kind of character is the closest to reality and the most normal reaction of normal people. I believe that there is no shortage of such smart and rational girls around us, but they are not as beautiful as Duanmu Linsha (

She is there, whether she is worshiped or admired, she has positioned herself as subtly as her way of life. She is there, neither blindly eager nor reserved, quietly helpful.

Follow Cheng Xiaoyu and try your best.

Loving soberly a person who is destined not to belong to you.

She was willing to be Cheng Xiaoyu's protective umbrella when he was still weak, and she was also willing to be his arm when he grew up, helping him conquer and fight the world.

She is always growing, she is always waiting. Growth, for Duanmu Linsha, is a war to avoid becoming someone else's decoration.

Begonia flowers are awake

In fact, in terms of her role, Ijuin Shizumi is not necessary to write a book review at all. After all, she is destined to have no connection with Cheng Xiaoyu, but she gave birth to a daughter for our protagonist after all (laughs).

In fact, I personally like this character very much. Although it does not take up much space, and the interaction with Cheng Xiaoyu is also very brief and limited, both her character and the role she plays in the book are very worthwhile.

Big and special book.

As a Japanese Chinese noblewoman and the crown princess of Japan, Ijuin Shizume's life has been arranged since she was born. She has no freedom of choice. She longs for stories, but cannot have stories and runs on a boring life track.

, just like the tram running day after day, not only the origin and destination have been calibrated, but even the stations it passes cannot be changed.

But such a graceful, generous and charming lady did something audacious and crazy.

She became the most incredible variable in Cheng Xiaoyu's life, and she also saw a different scenery in his boring life.

For Cheng Xiaoyu's growth path, Yijuin Jingmei perfectly played the role of "mentor". When Cheng Xiaoyu was most confused and sad, she rushed into Cheng Xiaoyu's life with an unyielding and stubborn attitude, and gave the wandering protagonist a touch of warmth and peace.

A precious pointer.

"Don't care about some setbacks in life, and don't care about those focused eyes. You must know that you are the protagonist and naturally the target of the camera. Since you cannot escape, you must learn how to enjoy the warmth of the spotlight."

"Your map seems to be a blank piece of paper now, so even if you want to decide the destination, you don't know where the road is. But looking at it from another perspective, it is precisely because it is a blank piece of paper that you can draw the map as you like. It's all up to you.

Self. For you, everything is free and there are infinite possibilities in front of you. This is a great thing."

For Cheng Xiaoyu, who was abandoned by his family and hurt by his loved ones, the appearance of such a gentle and intellectual big sister helped him learn how to face the future and pursue everything he wanted.

At the same time, for Cheng Xiaoyu, Yijuan Jingmei also indicates that Su Yuxi will be kidnapped by her identity and family in the future and become the victim of a loveless marriage. Yijuan Jingmei is unable to make any changes. This is her fate and hers.

Responsibility, as a rational modern woman, she resisted and retaliated in her own way. However, Cheng Xiaoyu could not accept that the person she loved faced the same situation, so Cheng Xiaoyu, who was no longer confused, set a goal for herself,

It also paved the way for the subsequent American chapter and the stunning Oscar speech.

In the dream, I didn’t know I was a guest, and I had a moment of pleasure

When I wrote this, I was actually very hesitant because I didn’t know what kind of title I should use to summarize the protagonist Cheng Xiaoyu of "Sister Illusion". Chopper used a lot of chapter titles to explain such a full story.

The image of the contradictory brother, the great Cheng Xiaoyu (a tribute to "The Great Gatsby")? Cheng Xiaoyu's carousel? Waiting is a long practice? The crown of thorns? The man who runs forward in the dark? The king of the world

Duality?

These chapter titles seem to be a good way to summarize Cheng Xiaoyu's image. But I finally chose this classic sentence from Li Yu's "Lang Tao Sha": I don't know that I am a guest in a dream, but I am greedy for pleasure. For

For Cheng Xiaoyu, the experience of these eight years is like a good dream, and it doesn't know how cold the spring is.

Many people don't like the character of Cheng Xiaoyu. He is indecisive, seemingly fragile and lacks passion. There are contradictions everywhere. He treats all girls with the same tenderness but cannot make a decision. In the end, he abandoned the world and the people who loved him and chose to die in love with Su Yuxi.

So "scumbags" and "scumbag men" came one after another, and there was quite a feeling of dissatisfaction and contempt like "Brother Xiaocheng died early."

So by reversing these seemingly shortcomings, what we will see is a man who is brave and resourceful, who dares to take on everyone's future and life, who dares to fight the whole world for his sister, and all enemies are beaten.

The protagonist was slapped in the face until it hurt, was trampled under the feet of Master Yu, worshiped, and then opened up the harem, taking in everything, and truly became the king of the world.

This is Long Aotian, Ye Liangchen, not Cheng Xiaoyu.

Personally, I don't actually like such a protagonist. Many times I even think that such a person is simply unreasonable, and that the crown on his head and the unique golden finger in the world have been lost in vain.

But I understand and appreciate such a musician and such a brother.

Cheng Xiaoyu, as set by Qiuba, is a very contradictory and complex character. He is not simply a confused and ninth-rate music director in his thirties, nor is he simply a seventeen-year-old autistic and sensitive piano genius.

This is not the time-travel story or rebirth story that we are familiar with, nor is it a simple mathematical calculation of 0+17=47. Chopper has set up such a time-travel mode and such an unacceptable ending setting, which also creates contradictions in Cheng Xiaoyu’s personality.

A multi-faceted interpretation. This is a brand new, unique personality that combines the memories of a music director in his thirties with the soul of a seventeen-year-old piano genius.

This is not cultivating immortality, or seizing one's body.

So the Cheng Xiaoyu who finally appeared in front of us is still the 17-year-old fat man who had just experienced the pain of losing his mother and returned to China alone to a completely unfamiliar family. It’s just that there are many more things in his mind that should not belong to this world.

The music and movies have added a lot of stability and memory that this age should not have, that's all.

Therefore, such a Cheng Xiaoyu has a rare stability and generosity for a boy of this age, and has a clear and complete outlook on life, but he still misses his dependent mother on lonely rainy nights, and sings and sheds tears at high school graduation parties.

Of course, he will also grow up and meet the lover who makes him miss him and sacrifice everything for him.

It's just that he is a person who should not be loved.

He is pious, pious to music, so he is unwilling to stand in the spotlight and wear the glory that should not belong to him; pious to love, so he flies against the wind and stands on top of the world to personally break the constraints that bind him.

The shackles on the one you love.

He is gentle, gentle to the world, so he is unwilling to hurt everyone who loves and supports him, and would rather let himself live in entanglements and contradictions; gentle to his lover, so he chooses to hide everything and remain silent

To face the malice of the world and the injustice of fate.

He is stubborn, stubborn to his beliefs, so he can move forward towards his goal despite all doubts and responsibilities; stubborn to human nature, so he chose self-sacrifice and gave up in the end, making countless people jealous and envious

Everything to fulfill your lover.

He is contradictory. He is filled with too many dualities, greatness and ordinaryness, autisticness and openness, pride and humility. These are not antonyms in him. Such a contradictory Cheng Xiaoyu, in my opinion,

He is more like a flesh-and-blood person, rather than the facial makeup protagonist we see everywhere.

When he followed Su Yuxi's leap without hesitation, he had accomplished everything he could. Cheng Xiaoyu carried too much of Qiaoba's understanding and interpretation of the true meaning of love. What forbidden love has to face is not simply

After living in a German orthopedic hospital for the first half of a year, Cheng Xiaoyu had to face the opposite of the whole world. Who made him choose to put himself under the microscope of the world? Don't say that we are desperate. We are not living.

In a vacuum, so does Cheng Xiaoyu. We have countless interpersonal relationships, and our emotional world is not just about love, friendship, and family affection. They are all part of life that we cannot give up easily.
