Chapter 1 debut

The sky is clear and the sun is scorching. The asphalt road is shining with a layer of oil under the blazing sunlight, as if it has been sunk. The railway station in A is as busy as ever, and there are crowds of people. There are long queues at the entrance of the station. Passengers are carrying more or less luggage. Some look tired and drag their feet step by step, hoping to sleep on their luggage, while others are joy and excitement, as if they are connected.

I am very excited about the journey, which of course depends on their different travel purposes. The people on the exit side are much more unified in their postures. The people who pick up the station stand around the exit entrance in the exit hall. When no trains arrive, they all relax and play with their mobile phones and chat. Once a train arrives and passengers start to leave the station, they stop their hands in an instant, stretch their necks and look inside.

A tall young man was crowded among the crowd picking up the station. He was slightly taller than the people around him. He could expose a head in the crowd with his waist straight, so his vision was relatively wide. At first, he just stood bored in the middle of the crowd, and he lowered his head from time to time to fiddling with his phone. He continued to remind the information about the train arrival on the big screen next to him, and then put away his phone and focused on the tide of the passengers surging ahead.

The outbound passengers at the exit entrance began to approach the crowd one after another. The young man's eyes swept around among the outbound passengers, trying to find the target he was looking for, but he had never found it, which made his brows slightly frown, and there was a hint of impatientness on his handsome face.

At this moment, a commotion suddenly appeared among the outbound crowd who had been moving forward at a constant speed. Some passengers walking in the middle began to dodge to both sides. The commotion gradually affected the crowd of people who were picking up the station from far to near. The crowd rushed out of the crowd of people, a medium-sized and thin figure. While running out, he pushed other passengers and pedestrians in front of him randomly to the side. The passengers around were pushed unsteadily without any warning, and they were full of resentment. However, they had no time to express their dissatisfaction, and the man had already pushed the crowd away from the outbound hall.

"Stop, don't run! Stop the person in front!" A clear female voice rang out. A young girl in her twenties chased the man and rushed out of the crowd. While chasing him quickly, she shouted, "That person is a thief, everyone stop him!"

The crowd, who were originally a little resentful, suddenly realized that the man who ran away in a hurry was a thief, and now he was chased and ran away. No wonder he was so panicked.

Immediately afterwards, almost everyone began to check whether their belongings were lost. After confirming that they had not been lost, they were relieved. I wonder if it was because everyone was carrying heavy luggage, and no one really responded to the girl's call to intercept the fleeing thieves.

The tall young man who was originally standing outside the exit was stunned and slapped his thigh and turned to chase after him. Although he was tall and strong, he was very flexible and agile when he moved. He walked quickly among the chaotic crowd, his eyes were tightly locked on the two figures who were chasing and escaping. As soon as he left the exit hall with a relatively dense number of passengers, there were still many people in the square in front of the station, after all, the space was much wider, and the speed of the young man's feet increased rapidly.

He quickly passed one passerby after another, carefully dodged the luggage bag or suitcase under his feet, and gradually approached the girl who was chasing the thief, surpassed her, and caught up with the man who didn't even have to worry about his head. He controlled the other party in a few quick skills, so that he could not easily break free. In this process, the girl he had just surpassed had already rushed up, and was not alone, but also pulled an aunt in her fifties, followed by two patrol officers near the station.

"It's him. I just saw him mingling with the person who got out of the car and cut this aunt's backpack!" The girl had just chased the thief for a long time, and now she was breathing a little more evenly. Her cheeks were slightly red, and there were fine beads of sweat on her forehead and nose.

The two patrolmen went forward. The young man confirmed that the thief would not escape again and then let go. The patrolmen quickly found a bulging cloth wallet from the thief. The aunt who stood with the girl recognized the wallet at a glance, and her eyes were red with excitement.

"That's my wallet! It's mine!" She didn't know whether it was because of the excitement or fear of losing and regaining, and her voice trembled slightly. "That's the salary I saved as a nanny in another place. I came back and paid the hospitalization fee for my wife. Fortunately, you caught the thief for me, otherwise I wouldn't know what to do!"

The patrolman and the aunt checked the items and the amount of money in the wallet, and after confirming that she was the owner, he notified her that she would also need to go over and go through the procedures for claiming the stolen items.

"You guy is pretty good!" A policeman in his early forties witnessed the whole process of chasing a young man and subduing a thief in uniform. He couldn't help but praise him, "Have you practiced before?"

The young man smiled, took out his ID from his arms and handed it over.

"City A Public Security Bureau, Tang Hongye... No wonder, it turns out that he is his own person." The patrolman smiled after seeing his ID and nodded to him, "Young people are so terrifying!"

Although Tang Hongye was also chasing, he did not show any fatigue. In other aspects, he did not dare to pat his chest and say that he was a big bull in the criminal police team. However, when it comes to running, he is the most popular criminal police team. Not only does it run fast, but it has good endurance. Not to mention just chasing for such a short distance, even if he runs for a longer period of time, he will still not blush or breathe.

However, he was not in a polite conversation with the patrol senior at the moment. He just smiled politely and told the other party that the girl who brought the owner over was Du Juan, who was a newly transferred colleague from their team. He was here to pick up the station and there were other things to deal with next, so I am afraid that it would not be delayed for too long.

As she was talking, the aunt who was the owner suddenly started crying, which scared Tang Hongye and hurriedly turned her eyes to the other side. The aunt was crying and begging for love with an anxious look on her face.

"But if you have to wait until everything is processed before giving it to me, it will be too late! My wife is hospitalized and is waiting for me to renew the operation immediately. Otherwise, I can't take any work there, so I can't hurry back with the money. If the money cannot be taken back immediately, then nothing will be too late!" The aunt looked really anxious, and her hands were twisted red with her hands.

"Auntie, the thief has been caught now, and it won't take long to deal with it. If it's fast, you may be notified tomorrow, and it will be only two or three days at the latest." The younger patrolman comforted the owner, hoping that she could relax a little.

But the owner's aunt still shook her head with a sad face: "My wife has been owed for several days. I dare not pay the money. I can't do the surgery. The surgery is determined tomorrow morning..."

"Then...this..." The young patrolman also lost his opinion and glanced at the senior.

"Or why not do this, aunt, they have to follow the procedures. How much do you need? If I have enough money, I will lend it to you first." Du Juan, who had been with the aunt, spoke at this time.

It is estimated that the owner's aunt was indeed anxious. When she heard Du Juan's suggestion, she seemed to have grabbed a life-saving straw. She didn't even say politely to her. She immediately thanked her and told her urgently needed amount of surgery. Du Juan calculated that she should have a little more surplus after lending the living expenses she brought to the aunt. So she took the aunt to withdraw money nearby and took her into a taxi. Then she returned to meet with Tang Hongye who was waiting on the roadside.

Tang Hongye and Du Juan can be said to be old acquaintances. They have been familiar with each other since they went to kindergarten. Their homes are very close, so the primary and middle schools are also in the same school, and even colleges are no exception. Therefore, although Du Juan is strictly a "new colleague" and due to their old friendship, Tang Hongye has no polite process when speaking to her.

"I said, how old are you? Why are you still so careless?" He saw Du Juan sending away the owner's aunt, and his brows frowned. "You have never known strangers, just leave a work unit and name phone number for them. The other party's situation has not been verified and they have lent the money to them?"

"I don't think that aunt was worried just now, and she had so much money in her wallet, which was more than she had borrowed from me. She didn't need her money to be on the side of the branch in front of the station, and there would be no problem with taking the risk of cheating me for so many thousand yuan." Du Juan said to Tang Hongye with a smile. She spoke softly, and she sounded like a gentle person. "You were moving fast enough just now, otherwise I wouldn't know how far I had to chase after that thief!"
