Chapter 23 The Past(2/2)

"When will you see the one above again?" Le Yao asked before turning off the lights, "Have he contacted you after he returned to China?"

"What?" Zhou Luoyang was in a daze, and then he understood and explained, "It was the day when he went out to discuss the partnership, September 7th."

"Good night." Le Yao smiled.

"Good night."

Zhou Luoyang turned off the lights. For some reason, he felt that Le Yao was a little overconfident in the last sentence. Could it be that he suspected that he and Du Jing had already met and sent his younger brother to school accommodation? But he quickly gave up this idea and persuaded himself not to speculate randomly, without explanation.

He lay on the bed a little tired.

Yes, you have your own set of logic in your actions and speaking, but this logic is often not understood by ordinary people.

Zhou Luoyang thought he already knew Du Jing very well, but today he still felt a little sad when he heard Du Jing say this.

"What kind of person should be" and "What kind of person do you want to be"... Du Jing once asked him about this.

It was the winter when he learned about Du Jing's condition. Hangzhou was very cold that year, and the final exam came soon and ended soon. Zhou Luoyang had never had any suspense in his studies. He easily got a high score, while Du Jing won the first place in the department.

Zhou Luoyang rarely sees Du Jing's questions-the roommate's IQ makes him jealous. He just read the book from beginning to end, then used a pencil to do the exercises after class casually. He occasionally looked up at the blackboard in class, and wrote calculations on the notebook, and then he understood everything. Zhou Luoyang's professional courses often took one or two classes in the morning. He couldn't get up, so Du Jing went to the class for him occasionally. As a result, he was a major in automation and learned mechanical skills better than Zhou Luoyang.

During the CET-6 exam, Du Jing didn't even buy the information and passed it once. Zhou Luoyang studied with him, which was a lot of complaints.

Du Jing is a talented person, but Zhou Luoyang is a diligent person. He feels that he always chases Du Jing and runs exhausted. In this way, Du Jing still has to stop and wait for him from time to time.

"Do you want the scholarship?" This is the first time Zhou Luoyang heard that someone gave up the scholarship for the first place.

"Leave it to those in need." Du Jing said.

After the last examination, Zhou Luoyang thought of separating Du Jing for the entire winter vacation, and suddenly felt reluctant to leave.

"Where will I go for the winter vacation?" Zhou Luoyang began to buy train tickets.

"I didn't think about it, what about you?" Du Jing's condition has improved recently. After talking to Zhou Luoyang, it made them feel much easier. The two of them get along much more calmly.

Zhou Luoyang thought for a while and said, "I didn't think it through either, why don't you..."

Du Jing said, "Don't you go to Japan?"

Both of them grew up in a family remarried and had a tacit understanding between them. There was no need to explain this tacit understanding. Zhou Luoyang felt it when he met him on the first day.

"Maybe go to Nara to take a hot spring? Or go back to Wan City to see grandpa."

Zhou Luoyang's father lived in Tokyo after remarrying, while his mother almost stopped contacting him, and his grandfather and aunt lived in Wan City. In fact, Zhou Luoyang didn't want to go to both places.

"The winter in Japan is very good," Du Jing said, "I haven't been there yet. Maybe I'll go back to Southern California, or to Barcelona."

Zhou Luoyang remembered that Du Jing had no place to live in the country and had no family.

"Why don't you come to my house for the New Year?" Zhou Luoyang still sent an invitation to Du Jing and said, "I am the only one in the family."

Zhou Luoyang's family has a suite in Huizhou, so he is left to live alone. He has at least a place to go during the winter and summer vacations. He can also invite classmates to have sex when he goes home, even if he doesn't want to stay at home alone for too long.

Du Jing said: "No, you still want to meet up with classmates when you go back. Sometimes you want to go out temporarily, so it is not convenient to move together."

A few days ago, a high school classmate Fang Zhou in Luoyang called him, but Du Jing heard it.

"Then... I only bought my own ticket," said Zhou Luoyang, "I will come back early."

Du Jing: "I'll take you back?"

Zhou Luoyang said: "No, no, look, I have bought the ticket."

Du Jing was silent. After a full minute, he said, "Then I'll take you to the station."

Du Jing took Zhou Luoyang to the off-campus parking lot, put his hands in his pocket, pressed the car key, the headlight of a Mercedes-Benz Glk illuminated and the car door opened.

Zhou Luoyang was shocked and said, "When did you buy a car?"

Du Jingyun said calmly: "The day before yesterday, I bought this car when you said it was handsome."

Zhou Luoyang said: "We usually use very few cars."

"I originally wanted to drive you back to Huizhou," Du Jing said, "I will play around on the road, but you have bought all the tickets."

Zhou Luoyang: “…………………………………”

"I've refunded the ticket," Zhou Luoyang said, "Come to my house for the New Year."

"No," Du Jing said, "you have bought all the tickets."

Zhou Luoyang: "You can withdraw..."

"I said, no need!" Du Jing repeated.

Zhou Luoyang felt Du Jing's irritability and stopped talking.

"I may have changed the stage recently," said Du Jing a moment later, "The tone just now was purely unconscious, I couldn't control myself. I'm sorry, Luoyang."

Zhou Luoyang looked at Du Jing worriedly and said, "It's okay, you got angry at me and didn't force the control. Instead, I think it's better. Is it a manic appearance now?"

Du Jing nodded and said, "When things do not meet my expectations, you are prone to feeling uncomfortable. Don't pay attention to me and I will get better slowly."

Zhou Luoyang said: "You should say it first."

Du Jing had his own insistence and said, "You have booked your tickets, but I am very happy that you invited me to your house for the New Year."

Du Jing lived abroad for many years, and his stepfather's stepfather's family did not have the habit of celebrating the Chinese New Year. When he was a child, his mother stood at the table with him who was half old, making dumplings and eating them by himself, as a celebration. After returning to China, he did not have much persistence in celebrating the New Year. He just needed to find something to pass the winter vacation and it would be over.

"If you don't go to Spain or the United States, you must come to my house." Zhou Luoyang said goodbye to Du Jing outside the station.

Du Jing nodded perfunctorily, and Zhou Luoyang said again: "You promised me."

"Okay." Du Jing said, "Go back and be careful."

Zhou Luoyang entered the station. After checking the ticket, he walked to the side in the huge waiting room and looked out through the three-story floor-to-ceiling window wall. However, he saw Du Jing still dazed outside the station.

Zhou Luoyang called Du Jing and said, "Look back."

Du Jing turned his head and searched for a long time. When he saw Zhou Luoyang, his irritable expression disappeared immediately. He tried hard to return to normal and raised his eyebrows at Zhou Luoyang.

"Why don't you go back?" Zhou Luoyang knew that Du Jing must be very uncomfortable now, so he just pretended to be relaxed.

“It’s okay to go back to the dormitory.”

Du Jing replied on the phone, walking towards the floor-to-ceiling glass wall, looking at Zhou Luoyang outside the wall,

Zhou Luoyang said: "I'm still a little worried, it's better..."

"I can take good care of myself," Du Jing replied, "Don't worry."

Zhou Luoyang raised his hand and gently pressed the glass wall. Du Jing also raised his hand outside the station and pressed him through the glass wall.

"Love you." Zhou Luoyang said seriously, "See you back."

Zhou Luoyang was always very straightforward, but Du Jing was still a shy person, so he answered in English: "too."

Zhou Luoyang hung up the phone and returned to his home in Huizhou with concern. Du Jing was still in the dormitory, so Zhou Luoyang would send him a message every morning and noon. Du Jing replied in time. Zhou Luoyang knew that he had not left school yet and lived alone, and would go to the library to read books every day.

In the evening, Zhou Luoyang would call him a video call to confirm that everything was fine. Both sides put the phones on their own and did their own things. Zhou Luoyang played games at home, while Du Jing took a bath, read books, fed turtles, and slept according to the routine in the dormitory.

On the evening of the 27th day of the Chinese New Year, Zhou Luoyang and Fang Zhou were drinking and playing dice in a bar. Du Jing called Zhou Luoyang before he could wait for the video of Zhou Luoyang. After Zhou Luoyang died, he replied: I will go home later today.

"Oh, are you in love?" Fang Zhou asked when he saw Zhou Luoyang's video.

Zhou Luoyang explained: "Roommate."

"Who are you cheating on? You can also make videos at this point," said Fang Zhou. "How could it be that it is not a girl? Take it to me and take a look."

"It's really not!" Zhou Luoyang said, "I'll check your phone?"

Fang Zhou looked at the chat records between Du Jing and Zhou Luoyang. The boy's tone could not deceive people. He saw that it was not in a state of falling in love, so the corners of his mouth twitched.

"The relationship is still so good." Fang Zhou said with a bit of savory taste.

Zhou Luoyang asked Fang Zhou to come out, but there was something else, and asked, "By the way, I remember your uncle is a psychiatric doctor. I want to ask him something, can you help me ask?"

Fang Zhou said: "What are you looking for him? He is almost mentally ill."

Zhou Luoyang said: "Consult the issue about...depression."

Fang Zhou was startled and said, "Do you feel wrong?"

Zhou Luoyang thought for a while and said, "It's from our class... a friend who has depression. I want to ask how to get along with such a patient." He immediately noticed Fang Zhou's expression, so he changed his words and said, "A girl."

He didn't want Fang Zhou to know that Du Jing had this disease, and they might know each other again in the future. In this way, Fang Zhou wouldn't have doubted it.

Sure enough, Fang Zhou said: "The girl you want to chase? Has it been confirmed?"

"I don't like it," Zhou Luoyang avoided Fang Zhou's gaze and said guiltily, "I just hope she will live a happier life."

Fang Zhou said: "Hey, Luoyang, it's not me that you'd better not fall in love with a depressed patient. It's very tiring. Once you make a decision, it will be a lifelong thing and you can't give up."

Zhou Luoyang repeated: "I don't like it. I'm just a friend at the moment. It doesn't matter, I know it in my heart."

Fang Zhou had no choice but to say, "Okay, I'll contact you."

Zhou Luoyang immediately guessed Fang Zhou's idea: "You can't convince me, so you let your uncle convince me, right? I really don't plan to fall in love with her, just get to know her."

Fang Zhou didn't believe Zhou Luoyang's excuse at all: "If you are an ordinary friend who doesn't care about your affairs, how could you spend time understanding? To be honest, have you fallen in love with her?"

Zhou Luoyang had no choice but to remain silent so that Fang Zhou would not have any more words to be drawn.

"What kind of girl?" Fang Zhou came over and asked.
