Chapter XII Viscount Beaumont

Cristo's movements were very fast, and at dusk the next day, Sebastian brought me six "vampire baits".

I now know why he said that yesterday. These vampire bait dolls are extremely well-made, you can also call them realistic. Their alchemy-made skin is soft and elastic, and it is no different from real human skin when touched.

Not to mention their extremely realistic faces, when you are among six such dolls and stare at them with their dark eyes, you will only feel uncomfortable all over.

The same is true for me. Their gaze made me feel uncomfortable all the time, and it took more time for the construction of Furth to successfully arrange the fire-type rune bomb on the first bait.

According to the information provided by Sebastian's manuscript, such rune bombs are effective for eighteen hours, enough to blow up the evil creatures who are out looking for food to pieces.

To endure the discomfort and the discomfort all over my body, I forced myself to calm down and get rid of the next five dolls faster.

The work took much more time and energy than I expected. When I walked out of my room with a tired face, the moon outside the window had risen to the center of the sky.

"Have you done it?" When I came out, Sebastian was having dinner next to the table. He raised the spoon in his hand to me, saying hello.

"Yeah," I replied listlessly, pulled away the other stool in front of him and sat down.

"The work must be bad, Savos," Sebastian brought me a bowl of broth and a large piece of white bread with sympathy. "I can tell from your face."

"Yes, Sebastian," I took the broth and bread, quickly tore the bread into pieces and dipped it in the broth, "and you will feel a strange feeling that you are all uncomfortable when you are staring at it."

"Ah, I know," Sebastian nodded in agreement, "I have seen these things in the guild before, and they stared at me all over."

"That's it," I scooped a large mouthful of broth and bread into my mouth, complaining vaguely: "This work takes so much more energy and time than I thought."

"This is a good thing, Savos," Sebastian smiled, responding equally vaguely, "you will find that you have a lot better control of the rune bomb."

"That's right," I nodded, scooped up a spoonful of broth and sent it into my mouth. Sebastian was right. Every time I processed a bait, I felt that my Furth had been constructed faster and became more familiar with the rune.

"Just give me some more bait to practice, I think I can try to merge the two bombs." I thought about it and said to Sebastian with confidence.

"Are you sure?" Sebastian was a little surprised. "This is not an energy arrow or an energy shield. Those two runes are capable of being rune masters."

"Yes, I'm sure," I nodded again with confidence, and squeezed the spoon tightly with my right hand.

"Since that's the case," Sebastian looked at me suspiciously for several times, and then spoke after confirming that I was indeed confident: "I will ask Christo to get you more bait and ask you for a set of protective facilities by the way. You can only operate it in the protective facilities, do you understand?"

"I understand." I smiled and nodded repeatedly. As long as I could try to merge the rune bombs of the Wind and Fire series, some restrictions were nothing.

Sebastian and I didn't talk anymore for the next time, just ate the bowl quietly until we scraped the last bit of broth clean.

"Ah," Sebastian sighed with a full sigh after taking the last sip of soup, and then stood up, "I have to send the bait to Christo, have you activated the bomb?"

"No, I didn't set traps, and any rune master can activate them."

"Very good," Sebastian walked into the room, took out the baits one by one and folded them one by one, and put the folded baits and the corresponding blood bags into boxes. "I'll go back. During this time, you have to continue learning the rune art in this book."

After he said this, he opened the door and disappeared at the end of the narrow walkway of the apartment. I looked worriedly at the direction of his departure and slowly closed the door.

It is not a rational behavior to go out at this time. I hope the God of Light can bless this somewhat irritable old man.

Fortunately, Sebastian moved very quickly. It took only half an hour to go out and walked in through the door with a large bag of things.

I must admit that when I saw his tall figure and silver-white hair, I really breathed a sigh of relief in my heart.

"What is this?" I pointed to the bag in his hand and asked curiously.

"Your reward, boy," Sebastian put the bag on the ground casually. "I didn't ask for money, I changed it to you for jerky meat and water. We need it more now."

I nodded, Sebastian was right, money is worthless to us now.

"Okay," Sebastian clapped his hands, "Since I'm back, we should rest. There are still long days here, Savos, I hope you can endure loneliness."

◇◇◇◇◇

The days in the hiding place are really boring. It is a very tormenting thing to see the noisy world outside but not be able to contact it, not to mention that there is a beautiful lady outside thinking about me.

Dear Erin, during the hiding period, I was always thinking about her. Although Sebastian had repeatedly assured me that the two viscounts could not track down Erin's head, I still couldn't help but worry about her.

Now, I can't deceive myself anymore. Who wouldn't fall in love with her as a bold girl like Erin who is elegant, lively and cute, and who has many common topics in music with you?

She may not be the most beautiful girl in the world, but she is indeed the most beautiful girl Saren thinks.

If I had any solace in this part of my boring life, a small part would be Sebastian's manuscripts, and a large part would be the sweet memories of Irene and I.

But there was still a place for Sally in my heart. I could not forget her. Until Pichiskem died under my hands one day, I could not send her rest.

Speaking of Sebastian's manuscript, this is probably my biggest gain during this period. People always sing me into a great rune master with extremely intelligent and powerful magic. I think these are inseparable from Sebastian's teachings.

An experimental container that can withstand the explosion of fusion runes is not easy to get, so my fusion bomb plan has been on hold, and in this case I learned six level one runic techniques from Sebastian's manuscript.

The first rune technique is the energy ring. Its effect is to create a ring with the rune master as the center, which can knock all the enemies close to you out, and different effects will be added depending on the source of things.

The second rune technique is a high-difficulty rune technique. Spiral arrows and spiral arrows are similar to ordinary energy arrows, but they can rotate at high speed and have strong penetration ability. If the source of your thing is wind, the penetration ability will be enhanced again.

There are too many rune arts left, so I won't introduce them one by one. In the subsequent stories, I will indeed use these spells, and more than once.

These are probably all my gains in the past two weeks. The boring life continues, but fortunately things quickly turned around.

Is that the third week or the fourth week? I don’t remember it very much. Boring life can make you confused all concepts. I only remember it was a Wednesday, and the door to our hiding place rang out in a hurry early in the morning.

This sudden situation made me feel a little excited. I immediately jumped from the bed and pulled my sword out of my cane.

I met Sebastian in the hall, and his equally vigilant look made me understand that this was not his visitor either.

We slowly approached the door, just like in Sebastian's shop, but before we opened the door, a familiar voice had already come in from outside.

"Seth! Seth! Open the door! It's me, Christo!"

Sebastian and I looked at each other, and they both breathed a sigh of relief. Sebastian took the sword back into his cane and then opened the door.

Christo's familiar face appeared outside the door, "You're finally open, hello, Mr. Savos," he walked into the room happily and greeted me by the way.

"Hello, Christo," I replied to the imperial morning salute, "Why are you here today?"

"Yes, why are you here?" After Christo entered the house, Sebastian stopped at the door and looked at it, confirming that no one was following him before closing the door. "I thought we had agreed to 'never meet in the hiding place'."

Sebastian took the words "Never meet in the hiding place" very seriously, and his face turned pale.

"After the standard process? Yes, I broke the plan, but it was an 'emergency' and good news."

Christo looked at us proudly, and saw that we all showed a surprised expression, he nodded with satisfaction, and came over and continued, "Our people have found one of the viscounts. We believe that his name is Beaumont Quintus, an imperial nobleman about five hundred years ago."

"Ah, you found a vampire viscount, that's great, but IMHO, this is not 'good news' worthy of your straight-up trip."

"Don't interrupt me, Sebastian," Christo, interrupted by Sebastian's rough question, looked unhappy. He waved his left hand and signaled Sebastian who was standing up to sit back, "I'm about to talk about it."

"Hopefully," Sebastian snorted, but mumbled and sat down.

"The problem is that this Viscount Beaumont Quintus, who was seriously injured last night, lost at least one of his wings in the form of a vampire."

"Are you sure?" Sebastian could no longer control his facial expression when he heard the news. He stood up in shock and stared at Christo.

"Yes, I'm sure," Christo nodded excitedly, "Last night, at least seven spies saw him losing one of his wings and stumbled around the streets of Capofez, and five more spies confirmed his identity."

Sebastian, who was guaranteed, became excited, "Did the guild hunters do it? Well done?"

"No," Christo smiled bitterly when he heard this, "this is also the only mystery in this matter. We don't know who made Beaumont like this, but what we can know is that Beaumont is far from that man's opponent."

"It doesn't matter," Sebastian just nodded when he heard this, "What's important is that he was injured. I suspect another viscount was seriously injured, and it's a good opportunity to get rid of them once and for all."

"I agree," Christo nodded, "so I'll inform you that the guild is already gathering people," he said, looking at me, "Will he go?"

"Go, I can't miss such a big thing," I made a decision before Sebastian spoke, "If it was the injured viscount, I think I could protect myself."

"Let him go." Sebastian nodded and made the same decision as me. This made me feel a little grateful to him. I can't see such a scene every day.

"Okay," Christo nodded, "I will ask the guild to prepare equipment for you. There may be a large number of inferior vampires that will stop us. What are we good at using?"

I knew his last sentence was to ask me again, so I thought about it and replied: "The long sword with both hands is the best, and half a sword is also OK. If you have a long-range weapon, I will use a rifle, submachine gun crossbow."

"Oh," Christo whistled and raised his eyebrows at me, "Crossbow, giant sword with both hands, do you remind me of those knight masters in Valenlia, are you Valenlia?"

"No," I shook my head, "I'm a Norman."

"Ah, poet, romantic and traveler, I'm glad to know you."

"Me too."

I shook hands with Christo, and we then left the apartment under his leadership.

Back on the street, feeling the noise around me, and the hot morning sun above my head, which made me feel like I was returning to the world. I opened my mouth greedily and breathed several mouthfuls of the air on the street.

"It looks like you're so suffocating," Christo walked over to me, smiled understandingly, and handed me a small pot of water, "Drink some water, don't feel embarrassed. I was even more troubled than you did when I took refuge in the first time."

"Thank you," I took the kettle, poured several sips of water, and returned the kettle to Christo, "How bad is it?" I asked curiously.

"I hid alone for thirty-three days, right in Capofez," Cristo smiled and shrugged as if nothing had happened. "I got three vampire vissels that time, and they killed me in the whole city, but fortunately the guild finally dealt with them."

"That feels terrible, right?" Christo patted my back and asked with a smile on my side. "I can understand that feeling. When I first came out of the shelter, I almost couldn't even speak."

"You're lucky, Savos," he clapped his hands and walked quickly to me again. Only then did I realize that we had arrived at the door of the Silver Blood Hotel without knowing it.

"So when you encircle the viscounts, you can give highlights. I don't want to see you taken away by their dying counterattack."

"Thank you for your advice, Cristo." I nodded and walked into the Silver Blood Hotel under the instructions of Cristo.
