Special Chapter 10: The Spear of the Abyss and the Commander of Cusinda(2/2)

"Ah, I get it," Grundill nodded, "like your dark sword?"

"That's right," Saren said, "even I can't use these weapons for a long time, otherwise I'll be at risk of erosion again."

"Fortunately, I still have the power of space," he raised his hand, causing ripples in the air, "at least it can lock these things in a specific space."

"Is there any way to destroy them?"

"Believe me, if there were any, I would have done it long ago," Saren smiled bitterly, "It's like this dark sword, I can only put it on a display rack with special magic arrays, or put it into the void space, but the latter will cause a considerable burden on me."

"Okay," Grundill sighed, "It looks like we'll have to run away with them all the time next, right?"

Saren nodded, "I'm afraid this is the case. Maybe after returning to the imperial capital, I can think of some solutions, but before that, we have to carry them with us."

"It seems like this is all that's all," Grundill shrugged, "Let's rest first, old friend, your injury needs to be recovered, and I need to have a good sleep, too."

Talos and his group kept moving up the mountains, and demons rushed out of the fog and attacked them, but the strongest of them were the Berserkers or the Dragon Man.

"It seems they don't have a better guy," Karen slashed the war demon who was yelling at him with a sword. "I have to say that this is a good thing."

"I guess that Cyclops is the most powerful demon here," Hickrad pulled his sword out of the dragon man's corpse. "The commander is exhausted."

"I agree with you," Talos became more energetic. "If that commander could solve us, he would have appeared long ago, and the entire army attacked! We must solve the matter here as soon as possible!"

The group continued to move up the increasingly rugged mountains, and the ground had begun to gradually be covered with snow. On the top of the mountain where the cold wind whistled, they came to the focus of the trip.

There is a cave on the top of the mountain. You can tell from the extremely wide entrance that the area of this cave must be not small.

More than a dozen warriors and several dragon men formed a neatly in front of the cave. They surrounded Qu Xinda, wearing purple robe and pitch-black armor, holding a hideous long sword.

"Ah, Quxinda," Talos stopped in front of them, "I should have thought it was yours. Among all the demons, your clan is considered a good-intellectual existence."

"The leader of the Royal Rune Division...Talos," the commander Quxinda also narrowed his eyes. "No wonder even the Cyclops couldn't deal with you," he raised his weapon. "I admit that we lost this time, but don't regard this as your victory! The messenger of my Lord is constantly entering this world, and live on his own until the final destruction comes!"

"For victory!"

He held the long sword in his hand and launched a charge with the last small group of demons. They were greeted by countless rune energy bombs.

Commander Qu Xinda, who was rushing in front, was instantly beaten into pieces, and the Berserk Demon behind him couldn't hold on for too long.

Only a few dragon men were still breathing their weapons, waving their weapons constantly, trying to approach the rune masters, but they were greeted by more rune bombings and indestructible terrible shields.

As the last dragon man roared unwillingly, all the demons fell to the ground.

"It's over," Karen lowered his hand, "at least it's over now."

"Yes," Talos took off his helmet, walked to the side with some fatigue, and sat on a fallen tree trunk. "All soldiers, collect the bodies and burn them on the spot. We are going to return to the imperial capital immediately. What the teacher said is true, these damn guys are planning an invasion!"

The rune masters, who were equally exhausted, walked to the corpse, put all the pieces and the bodies together, and then lit them with flames.

The sun had approached the horizon, and everyone was quietly watching the bodies burning constantly, wisps of black smoke rushed straight into the sky, and a strange sweet smell filled the mountains.

It was not until the last demonic corpse turned into ashes that Talos breathed a sigh of relief, "Let's go," he waved, "We have to return to the capital as soon as possible."

Compared to the hardships of going up the mountain, the road down the mountain was much easier. The group hurriedly walked down the road he stepped out, and soon returned to the ruins of the two steam transport vehicles that had previously parked at the foot of the mountain.

"What's going on!" Talos looked at the ruins with a blazing flame in front of him, "It seems that there are more than a group of demons here."
