152. Glimpse All-Stars

(Read the full text of the Reading House without pop-up windows)

The All-Star Rookie Challenge is the first game of the All-Star Weekend. Chamberlain's shocking dunk and Durant's crazy three-point rain opened the curtain of this big meal. Countless fans were fascinated by the look. Chamberlain's last sentence, "Our era will come." Although it was a bit arrogant, fans had to admit that the two super rookies were here.

After the rookie challenge, NBDL DreamWorks. With the explosive rookie challenge, the appeal of this event has been reduced a lot. Many fans even left the game after watching half of it. For them, it was worth seeing such a game today.

On February 16, the All-Star Fan Carnival was still at noon. Chamberlain entered the venue to have a carnival with the fans. His task was to take photos with the fans and constantly take photos. The scissors hand posture was almost torn apart, and his face was numb when he smiled.

As time goes by, the All-Star Game on the next day will slowly enter the high-end tournament, the Shooting Star Competition, the Skill Challenge, the Three-Point Competition and the Slam Dunk Competition will be gradually staged.

First of all, the Shooting Star Competition. This game consists of four teams, each team consisting of three players, including an active NBA player, a retired superstar and a female wnba player. Among them, the game is shooting, which is a bit like a fixed-point shooting everywhere on the street. There are 6 shooting points in total, and three people shoot separately. The previous person can only shoot after the next person makes a shot, and the winner will be determined through a round of games.

These 6 shooting points are: 45 degrees and 3 meters on the right, 45 degrees and 3 meters on the left, 3-pointers on the top of the lap, 3-pointers on the right, 45 degrees and 3-pointers on the left and 3-pointers on the long distance of the midfield.

The game was divided into two rounds, two teams were eliminated in the first round, and the winner was decided in the second round. The four city teams participating in this game were the defending champions Detroit, Chicago, Phoenix and San Antonio.

Detroit won the championship with a time of 50.5 seconds last year. At that time, their main force was Billups, whose big heart and precise projection ability guaranteed their victory. However, this year, Billups went away from Golden State and became a member of the Warriors. Of course, he could no longer participate. Hamilton was missing his position, who also had accurate projection ability.

In addition to Hamilton, the other three players of the Detroit team are WNBA Detroit Vibrators, Sven Cash, who was selected into the All-Star lineup twice and the head coach of the Vibrators, and Bill Lanbill, who was selected into the All-Star lineup four times.

Chicago players include Chris Duhon of the Bulls, twice-selected the WNBA All-Star lineup, Chicago Sky forward Candice Dupri and former Bulls player B.J. Armstrong, who won the NBA championship three times.

The Phoenix team was the champion of the 2005 Shooting Stars Competition, and this time they sent out the original champion lineup, which was the young bully Amal Stoudemire, who was selected into the wnba All-Star lineup twice, and was composed of the 2007 wnba Finals MVP winner Kepi Pondsett and Eddie Johnson.

San Antonio also attaches great importance to this game. They once won the championship of that year with a record 25.1 seconds in 2006. Today, they also sent the championship lineup of that year: 10 times selected for the NBA All-Star lineup, three times the NBA Finals MVP winner Tim Duncan, four times the WNBA All-Star lineup Silver Star defender Becky Harmon, and two times the NBA championship, David Robinson, one of the 50 greatest players in the NBA.

Although this event was held first, it had the greatest influence on a city. Moreover, the cities that can participate in the Shooting Star Competition are all big cities, and they are also big cities where NBA strong teams are located. If they can win a championship, it will be a good publicity for the city, so all teams attach great importance to it.

The first to appear was Chicago. The three players in Chicago were Chris Duhon, two-time wnba All-Star player, Candice, Dupri, who played for the Sky, and the Bulls' three-time champion veteran B.J. Armstrong. The three shots at each point were relatively smooth, and finally finished six points with a time of 39.6 seconds.

Phoenix's lineup consists of Amare Stoudemire, MVP Kabby Pondest of the 2007 wnba finals, and Sun veteran pitcher Eddie Johnson.

Seeing Stodmeier appearing in high spirits, Chamberlain cursed "slutty". He secretly prayed in his heart that Phoenix must lose, must lose, and God heard his voice. Johnson missed the 45-degree three-point shot on the left, which greatly affected Phoenix's performance in the end, and their score was 50.9 seconds, and they must lose to Chicago.

The champion of the "Shot Star" in 2006, San Antonio, created the former double tower combination - Duncan and David Robinson, supplemented by four-time wnba All-Star player, and defender Bech Harmon, played for the Silver Stars. Admiral seemed unfamiliar at the first point, but since then, his bottom corner three-pointers and mid-circle shooting were both hits, and San Antonio's final result was fixed at 41.4 seconds.

Detroit won the All-Star Game in Las Vegas with 50.5 seconds. They were still very optimistic in this competition. Last year, they won the championship for the first time they participated. This year, they got a good start and became familiar with the game. Wouldn’t that be better?

Unfortunately, all this disappeared as Billups left Golden State. Although Hamilton was known for his shooting, he was indeed not as strong as Lupps' guidance and big heart. The performance of the three players at the three-point line greatly affected the final result. Ranbill's mid-range shot even sent the ball to the audience, but Cash hit the board with only one shot, and Detroit's final result was 57.6.

In this way, Chicago and San Antonio entered the finals, and Duncan's front three-pointer and mid-range shooting were both hits, which made San Antonio achieve an amazing 35.8 seconds in the final. Although Chicago was smooth sailing in the first five points, it took more than ten shots to shoot the ball in the middle to hit the ball, with a time of 53.8 seconds, and San Antonio won the championship.

The Skills Challenge is followed by the Skills Challenge, a new event that entered the All-Star Weekend in 2003. Its purpose is to showcase the skills of the best organizational guards in the league. The content of the game is that four players complete dribbling, passing and shooting in a field with various obstacles within a specified time.

There are obstacles and prescribed routes in the game. Players must comprehensively use dribbling, passing and shooting skills to complete prescribed projects. The time spent determines the outcome. The specific regulations are:

1. The game is divided into two rounds. The first round is the preliminaries, divided into two groups, and two players in each group play the game. The fastest completed person enters the second round.

2. The timing starts when the whistle sounds at the beginning of the game, and the timing stops when the player scores the last goal, and the referee's whistle sound shall prevail.

3. Players must abide by the basic dribbling rules of the NBA during the game.

4. There are three specified pass events and a shooting event called "Top of the Boundary Zone". When a player encounters any of the following two situations, it can be considered a pass: (1) a successful hit or a shot hit; (2) a failure to succeed after using all the balls on the rack when hitting the target/shooting the ball.

5. For the two levels of layup and last shot, if the contestant misses the shot, he must grab his rebound before making the next shot until the shot is made.

6. If the two players tie in the game (the difference in time is within 0.1 seconds), one extra game will be played.

7. If a player fails to complete a certain level of action as required, the referee will have the right to deprive him of the game.

8. There is no time limit for any level in the game.

9. The second round is the final, and the fastest completed player will win the championship.

The lineup of this Skill Challenge is extremely strong. Jason Kidd is the first champion of this competition in 2003, while Dwyane Wade is the champion of the event for two consecutive times in 2006 and 2007. In addition, there are also host hero Chris Paul and Jazz's core defender Deron Williams. Three of these four are recognized as the four point guards in the league today, and one missing is Nash.

However, compared to Nash, Dwyane Wade is not bad at all. He continues to play in this event and strives to win the defending champion to complete the triple-champion.

Wade won the title of Skill King in 2006. In the final of the All-Star Weekend Skill Challenge that year, he defeated LeBron James. Then he defeated Lakers star Kobe Bryant at the All-Star Weekend Skill Challenge held in Las Vegas last year. The two championships defeated the strongest first player in the two generations of the new and old generations of the league, which is very valuable.

The four participating players performed very well this season. Wade ranked fifth in the league in the NBA with an average of 24.5 points per game. Chris Paul also participated in the 2006 All-Star Weekend Skills Challenge. He ranked first in the league this year with 2.5 steals per game. In addition, in terms of assists per game, Paul also ranked second in the league with 10.9 times, second only to Nash.

Kidd was the champion of the 2003 NBA All-Star Weekend Skills Challenge. This season, he ranked third in the league in assists per game with 10.4 times. Dwy Williams is the first time in his career to participate in the All-Star Skills Challenge this year. This season, he ranked fourth in the league in the NBA with 9.6 assists per game.

In the first round of the preliminary round, Williams was the first to play. All the movements were completed smoothly. They were not very successful in passing and top-shots, and it took 31.2 seconds in the end. Kidd was the second to play. Kidd completed the pass and crossing obstacles, but Kidd missed a few shots in the shooting, and it took 39.7 seconds to complete, which made Chamberlain, who hated the Jazz, feel very regretful.

However, Paul, who appeared on the court, completed all the movements perfectly. He only used twice when passing the ball to the ground, and finally completed the game in 29.9 seconds. The two consecutive champion Wade was blocked by the Wooden Man when crossing the obstacles. When shooting at the top of the circle, like Kidd, he did not hit once after finishing 5 balls. After not hitting the ball to the ground, Wade had given up on the game. After slowly finishing the last basket, 53.9 seconds had passed.

At the beginning of the final, Delong took the lead in playing, and all the movements were completed in one go. It took only 25.5 seconds to complete the game, which was better than in the preliminary round. Paul then played, but he used two force on the first pass and shot twice. Chamberlain immediately whined. He thought God was standing by him today, but it turned out that he overestimated his charm. Delong's skill king did not run away.

Sure enough, it took Paul 31.2 seconds to complete the game. Deron Williams became the new champion of the competition, and 25.5 seconds was also a record in the six years since the start of the competition.

The three-point competition was followed. The three-point competition should be a traditional event for the All-Stars. It appeared in 1986. The three-point champion that year was the greatest shooter in NBA history, Larry Bird, and the latter immediately completed three consecutive championships, becoming the first triple-winner in the All-Stars competition.

The early three-pointers were not the sharpshooters who made the three-pointers famous, but Larry Bird's trash talk. The 1988 three-pointers competition brought together the best three-pointers at that time. As the winner of the previous two three-pointers, Bird was not under pressure. He slowly walked into the locker room before the game and asked sincerely: Are you all here to compete for the second place?

After the locker room sentence "Are you all here to compete for the second place?" Bird was speechless, and he was not satisfied. He made a new joke before the game. When others were shooting and warming up, he sat on the bench in a long-sleeved shirt and motionless. A teammate Angie who came to participate in the competition was puzzled, and Bird said: Do you still need to warm up if you guys win?

The most awesome thing is that Bird really went on the court in a training gown in the end. But the miserable thing is that Bird scored none of the first five goals, as if his big talk was about to become a joke. However, the facts proved that he deserved the most deadly killer of the NBA: after he became serious, he chased and scored in a row, and scored in a row, and tied the score with the second-to-last goal. As soon as the last goal was taken, Bird pointed to the sky and signaled that he had locked in the victory: In this way, three consecutive championships in the three-point competition were natural.

If you think Bird was squirting the two classic trash words "Are you all here to compete for the second place?" and "You win, you still need to warm up" after all, it can only be said that you are too naive. When Bird, who was still unsatisfied after the game, he smiled and muttered, "I told you before the game that the check should be filled in my name directly."

Before the game, Chamberlain once again heard someone introduce this familiar joke. The one who said these words to him was Sony Vaccaro, because the sponsor of the three-point competition that year was the Champions League.

The three-point competition is the scores obtained by the contestants in one minute, and the three-pointers with the most points are naturally the three-pointers. There are 5 shooting points in the game: there are two symmetrical feet, two symmetrical angles of 45 degrees, and the other is at the top of the arc. Each shooting point has 5 balls, of which 4 balls (orange balls) are one point, and the last flower ball (red, blue, white) is 2 points. The flower ball is called "touching ney-ball", and can also be translated as a key ball.

Under normal circumstances, the game is divided into two rounds. Each player has a chance at each round. The top three in the first round will enter the finals. The second round is the same as the first round. If there are the same scores in the finals, the game will be added until the ranking is obtained.

This time, Capono, Gibson, Peja Stojakovic and Dirk Nowitzki participated in the three-point competition. Of course, Peja is the most popular one. The Blacks in Seychelles are the most famous shooter in the current NBA. In the minds of NBA players, his shooting ability is better than Ray Allen and Immortal Shooting Hamilton, who are known as Miller's successor. Although Capono is the defending champion, not many people are optimistic about him. More people think that he happened to get the last three-point champion, which is also the reason why he insists on continuing to participate in the three-point competition.

However, the finals were Capono, Gibson and Nowitzki, with scores of 20 points, 17 points and 17 points respectively, while Perga Stoyakovic, who was favored before the game, was kicked off

Gibson played first in the second round. Although he performed in the first two positions, he suddenly showed his power in the last three positions, especially at the last point, he scored four goals in a row. In the end, he scored 17 points, the same as in the preliminaries, which was a competitive result.

Nowitzki made the second appearance, but his feel seemed not as good as the preliminaries. Since he only scored one of the lottery balls, the "German Chariot" finally scored only 14 points.

Capono was the last to play, and his condition was also very good. He scored 10 points in the first two points, and had already scored 15 points in the third point. When he reached the third goal at the fourth point, he had successfully defended his title. In the end, his score was 25 points. Regardless of whether the score or shooting percentage was exactly the same as last year, he finally made himself clear.

Chamberlain was very interested in this game because he used to be a three-pointer shooter, but unfortunately he has not regained his touch so far. As long as he regained his touch, he must participate in the three-point competition. But now he has to consider the dunk competition because that is the game he wants to participate in.
