Chapter 10 On the Hogwarts Express
"Hello, I'm glad to know you!" Matthew had vaguely guessed the identity of the girl in front of him, and he took the initiative to stretch out his hand: "My name is Matthew, Matthew Wakefield."
"Hermione, Hermione Granger!"
The two children shook hands.
Then, they carried their luggage together and walked into the carriage.
"It's really amazing, right... I mean, we knew nothing about such a magical world!" The little girl spoke very quickly: "When the senior introduced the existence of Hogwarts to me, I was really surprised and very happy... There must be too many things we are unfamiliar with in this world..."
"Yes, it's amazing!" Matthew replied perfunctorily.
For some reason, he thought of the book sinking at the bottom of the suitcase.
"But going to Hogwarts means leaving my parents for seven years. To be honest, I cried for a long time. I wrote a letter asking him to bring it to my parents, hoping that they would not worry about my life in the magical world." Hermione continued:
"Of course, these are indeed quite disappointing, but I have already come out of my sadness. As far as I can tell, this is the best magic school - I have read all the textbooks. If it weren't for the time being too short, I would have endorsed them all. Of course, I just hope this will be useful..."
Matthew was suddenly stunned.
Because he suddenly remembered his parents in this world.
To be honest, I only had less than three months of contact with them, and I might have some feelings, but it would not be too deep.
But during the few days he spent in the Burnt Cauldron Bar, he almost never remembered them.
Are you too cold?
No... Even if I deliberately think about it now, there is only a vague impression left in my mind when the British couple looks. I can't even recall their faces or their specific appearance.
There is also the "home" in Northampton that had been staying for three months. Now, except for the lawn that I often lie on it at the door, I can't remember anything.
"Wickfield?" Hermione Granger's voice was somewhat dissatisfied, and he rang from his side: "Are you listening?"
"Sorry, I'm a little distracted just now." Matthew apologized quickly.
"Nothing." Hermione continued to say with some interest: "Speaking of it, do you know which college you will be assigned to? I've asked around, I hope to be assigned to Ravenclaw, and they all say that it is the best college; the Minister of Magic Millison Bagno, who graduated from that, and people say that she is the most popular minister in nearly a hundred years... Of course Hufflepuff is not too bad; but I think if I were assigned to Gryffindor, I might drop out of school, what do you think?"
"..." Matthew didn't know what to say, so he could only nod.
Fortunately, they successfully found an empty box. Matthew was also very graceful and helped Hermione move her suitcase onto the pedal.
"This train is so spacious!" After finishing, Hermione Granger looked at everything around him curiously: "Just like the trains in our previous world, it's hard to imagine that a person could occupy such a large space..."
Then, she gently placed the cat in her arms on the ground: "Okay, Crook Mountain, you can move!"
As soon as the ginger cat left his owner's arms, it rushed towards Matthew Wickfell's suitcase. Its target was the toad in the mesh bag of the suitcase, but it just sniffed hard, suddenly realized that this thing could not be eaten, and then left in shame.
The toad took advantage of this time and shouted "quackly".
"Is your pet a toad?" The girl's curiosity was once again hooked up.
"It's obvious!" Matthew shrugged. He suddenly felt that his trip to Hogwarts would be impossible to be cleaned up again.
"Well, your taste is so unique..." Hermione glanced at the toad, then quickly looked away: "I never thought about toads. At first I wanted to buy an owl, and then I saw Mount Crucker... It was so beautiful; and the witch said that it had been there for a long time and no one wanted it, so pitiful..."
Matthew took a closer look at the cat's weird persimmon face, crocod legs and fluffy and soft ginger hair, and it was difficult to associate the cat in front of him with the word "pretty".
"Your taste is also very unique!" he thought to himself.
But at this moment, the sliding door of the private room opened and a boy broke in.
"Sorry, is there anyone here?" He pointed to the seat next to Hermione.
"No." Hermione moved his body and gave him to the ground.
"OK, thanks!"
Matthew looked at the boy. The other party was about the same age as himself and Hermione. His face looked a little round, but he was tall and thin. He was wearing a neat wizard robe and looked quite handsome.
"Are you also a freshman in Hogwarts?" the boy also moved his suitcase to the pedal, and there was a snow-white owl locked in a cage with the suitcase, he asked back.
"Yes." Matthew said in unison at Hermione.
"That's a coincidence!" The boy smiled: "My name is Neville Longbottom, and I'm also a freshman in Hogwarts."
"Nevil Longbottom?" Matthew said subconsciously.
Unbelievable...it is difficult to associate the tall, thin, handsome boy in front of you with the timid and forgetful little fat man in your memory.
"Have you heard of my name?" Neville glanced at Matthew in surprise.
"Sorry, I have a little impression of the last name Longbottom." Matthew quickly explained: "I am Matthew Wakefield."
"Hermione Granger."
Neville stood up and shook hands with the other two children in the box.
"Are you from a wizard family?" Hermione looked at Neville with interest.
"Yes, our whole family is a wizard." Neville smiled honestly, and this smile made people slightly reminiscent of Matthew's memories of him in his previous life.
"Oh! Can you introduce them?" Hermione's interest suddenly became even stronger.
"My parents are both Aurors who work for the Ministry of Magic. They are all very excellent wizards!" Neville introduced with a proud look on his face.
"That's amazing!" Hermione clearly understood the meaning of the word Auror, and explained to Matthew: "It's equivalent to the elite policeman in the Muggle world."
"Are they all graduates from Ravenclaw?" Hermione continued.
"No..." Neville shook his head: "Our whole family is graduated from Gryffindor."
The smile on the girl's face suddenly froze. She glanced at Neville Lombard with some suspicion, and then subconsciously kept a certain distance from him.
As a result, the private room suddenly became a little deserted.
Matthew smiled, and then suddenly asked, "Neville, Ms. Augusta Longbottom, what does it have to do with you? I seem to have heard of this name somewhere."
"That's my grandma." Neville didn't seem to want to mention this, and replied simply: "She died in the forties, not long after my father was born."
"Okay, I'm sorry..."
"nothing!"
