Chapter 11 Chocolate Frogs
During the subsequent trip, Hermione Granger always had some warning about Neville Longbottom.
Her words suddenly became much less.
But Matthew was always having a happy chat with Neville.
From his mouth, he also "inquired" about some information about the magic world.
It’s a pity that Neville Longbottom is an eleven-year-old boy after all, and many things are just a slight understanding.
Not much information is known.
While they were talking, the train had already left London. They were speeding along the pastures of cattle and sheep, heading towards the north.
At about 12:30 noon, a noisy sound suddenly came from the aisle outside the box.
Then, a fat witch pushed the cart open the door of the box, and she asked, "Dear, do you need some snacks?"
"You want!" Navig immediately became energetic and took a bunch of snacks such as Bibido beans, chocolate frogs, cauldron cakes, etc. from the trolley.
"Where are you, dear?" The witch looked at Hermione and Matthew.
Hermione walked over hesitantly: "Are these free of charge?"
"Of course..." the witch nodded: "But don't waste it too much."
...
"Hogwarts is awesome!" Hermione commented a few minutes later, holding a licorice wand in her hand.
"Hogwarts has borne our tuition, book fees and living expenses. Where does this money come from?" Matthew asked curiously, while he took a big bite of the pumpkin pie.
"The school itself is very rich." Neville stuffed Bibidowei beans into her mouth: "What's more, there is the principal..."
Hermione's eyes turned to a bag of chocolate frogs: "Will this frog move by itself?"
"Yes." Neville nodded: "So you have to be careful not to let it run away... Also, the pictures inside it are quite interesting, I'm almost collecting them."
Hermione opened the chocolate frog and took out the picture.
"It's Morgan le Fay!" She exclaimed as she looked at the images on the picture, "I've heard of her in the Muggle World!"
"That's her name in the Muggle World. She is called 'Morgana' in the Wizard World!" Neville seemed to eat a Bibido-wei bean with a bad taste, and her face turned strange: "She is probably the most powerful dark wizard in British history, a witch of the same age as Merlin... This card is quite rare, I suggest you keep it!"
At the same time, Matthew also took apart a piece of chocolate frog.
In his picture is an old man's face, a very handsome old man. At least this face makes people feel very comfortable to look at. His neat silver-white short hair and mustache, and a gentle smile appeared on his face.
The name under the picture is: Gellert Grindelwald.
"It's Grindelwald!" Matthew said softly.
"Don't tell me you've never heard of Grindelwald, who is the greatest wizard of the century!" Neville said: "Although I have eight of his chocolate frog pictures."
Matthew slowly turned the picture over and read the text on the back:
"Gellert Greenward, currently the principal of Hogwarts
Recognized as the greatest wizard of the present
Greenward's well-known contributions include:
Defeat the dark wizard Dumbledore in 1945
Advance the reconstruction of the Ministry of Magic after the First Wizard War
Discover the eleven uses of Fire Dragon Blood
Working with Kassandra Trilawney is effective in prophecy
Professor Grindelwald loves sweets and ten-pillar wooden ball plays”
Matthew quietly turned the picture to the front again and saw Greenward on the picture smiling at him.
For some reason, this smile made him shudder.
...
The next journey seemed rather boring.
Because Matthew became much silent, Hermione was not willing to communicate too much with Neville.
No other wizards broke into the carriage either.
Such a dull trip lasted about half a day.
A voice suddenly began to echo on the train: "The train will arrive in Hogwarts in another five minutes. Please leave your luggage on the train and walk to the assembly at the same time."
The train slowed down at the same time, and Matthew, Neville and Hermione lined up in a small team, squeezed into the pushing crowd and rushed towards the door.
They got off on a brightly lit platform, and the sign on the platform reads: Hogsmeade.
"First-year student, come to my side!" an old man holding a lamp with a prosthetic limb shouted loudly from the side of the crowd.
"This is Professor Kettleborn!" Neville explained softly to Matthew: "He is the professor of the Protective Fantastic Animals at Hogwarts and the hunting ground guard."
A group of little guys squeezed into the old man.
Only then did Matthew realize that except for the left arm, the other three limbs of the old man were composed of magic prosthetic limbs.
After counting the crowd and counting the people, Professor Kettleborn continued: "Very good, come with me! All the freshmen in the first grade come with me!"
Instead of following the main road where the large army was, they followed Professor Kettleborn to a steep and narrow path.
The road was pitch black on both sides, which looked a little gloomy.
As we arrived at the end of the path, what appeared before them was a black Hubo, and on the mountain across the lake, a towering castle stood there...
The crowd began to cheer excitedly.
There are a row of boats anchored by the lake.
"There can't be more than four people on each boat!" Professor Kettleborn said loudly.
Matthew, Neville and Hermione took the lead in boarding the nearest ship to them.
The subsequent crowd was also crowding over.
The two girls came to the side of Matthew and their ship.
"There is only one position, let's change one, Daphne!" said the girl walking in front, "not to mention that the Longbottom family is also on this ship."
After saying that, she held another girl's hand and left.
Matthew couldn't help but turn around and look at Neville with some curiosity.
"My parents...have had some conflicts with her parents......" Neville explained softly.
Soon, the boat welcomed the last passenger-
A short stature, messy hair, and a little glasses wearing glasses with his head down.
"Hello!" Hermione took the initiative to greet him.
The thin boy just looked up at them with some timidity, and quickly lowered his head again.
