Act 24. From Prester

Time moved forward a little for a day, and the location was the city of Prest, about sixty miles from Crescent Academy.

Warren Pharmacy Store is an ordinary alchemy supplies store in Prest. The owner Warren does not have the talent of a mage and can only open such a store after he has money to satisfy his childhood wishes.

"That guy Antoine made something strange again. Forget it, it's not worth much money anyway."

Warren looked at the neatly arranged black drinks in the box and said to himself that he was an old customer of Antoine's alchemy workshop. Even though there were many emerging alchemy workshops in recent years, he still took care of Antoine's business. The reason was probably because he received a lot of favors from the other party when he first started his business.

This time, Antoine asked himself to sell this beverage called Coke. Warren agreed without thinking about it and brought twenty bottles of goods. Anyway, the import price only requires two copper coins per bottle. Even if it is all in his hand, it will only cost for forty copper coins.

The past two days were a bit stuffy and even the store was filled with stagnant air. Warren wiped his sweat and put the Coke in the freezer.

The freezer is powered by magic and can maintain low temperatures. Since many potions need to be stored at specific temperatures, Warren bought a potion in the corner of the store. Through the glass window, you can see the potion of various colors inside, which is very fashionable.

Opening the Daily Prest delivered by the newspaper boy in the morning, Warren officially started the day's business.

Not long after, the wind chime at the door rang, and Warren put down the newspaper and happened to see the first customer of today walking in.

It was Baron Goode on the street opposite. He had anorexia and could only eat some liquid food every day, and he became thinner.

"Master Goode, why are you here in person?"

Warren knew about Goode's disease. He had asked someone to come here to find some medicines for treating anorexia, but it was basically useless.

"I was walking outside and saw you driving here, so I came in and sat down."

Baron Goode wore a double-breasted dress, and his originally fitted clothes now look extremely loose, making it unimaginable that he was a tall and strong nobleman a year ago, known as a foodie.

According to the doctor's conclusion, his illness was because Goode had been exposed to various foods for many years, thus resistant to food. It was a psychological disease. If you want to cure it, you would find food with a special taste.

Baron Good knew that some food from the foreign world, but he could not afford that fee at all, let alone some ingredients could only be exchanged for academic points from the mages.

"You have to take care of yourself."

Although Warren was not familiar with Baron Good, he was always a neighbor in the same neighborhood. Looking at the other party's skinny appearance, he couldn't help but remind him.

"If I really die because of this disease, I'd be relieved."

Baron Good smiled, not caring too much. The torture of more than a year of illness had long made him look down on everything and reflect on his past luxurious life.

At this time, the wind chime rang again, and a woman walked in dustyly, attracting the attention of both of them.

"Olyana, you seem to be very busy lately?"

Warren shook the newspaper in his hand. Daily Prest is a newspaper with a long history, but it has been recently squeezed by several emerging newspapers such as Prest Daily and Prest Life. New newspapers use sensational titles to attract readers, even distort factual reports, and like to publish some gossip news with obvious indescribable content.

For Volkswagen, this gimmick is very successful. The market share of "Daily Prest" is declining. Until now, only old customers like Warren are still persisting.

"Those sensational guys have no professional ethics at all!"

Oriana was very angry, pounded the counter and said.

"Warren, give me two bottles of potions to calm my mind, the kind you usually want."

"OK."

Warren turned around and went to search on the shelves, and said with emotion.

"Olyana, you have not been easy for years. Russell passed away early. You raise your daughter alone and don't get tired of your health."

Picking up two small bottles of light blue potion, Warren handed it to Oriana's audience.

"Although Ningshen potion is effective, it will still cause dependence if it is used for a long time, so you have to use it carefully."

"Thank you, Warren, I will pay attention, but there are too many things recently. Without this, I can't sleep at night."

Oriana looked a little haggard. She picked up the potion and was about to leave when she heard Baron Good knocking on the door of the freezer in the shop with her own crutches.

"Warren, what is this black potion?"

He pointed to the Coke he had just put in. This red and black color packaging, coupled with black liquid, was very eye-catching among the potions.

"This is not a potion, it is a drink called Coke or something, it is a new product from the alchemy workshop I usually buy."

Warren explained, after a sudden idea, he walked over and opened the freezer and took out a bottle of Coke.

"It's so stuffy today. Let's try this thing. It's cold anyway, so it probably tastes less than a little bit. Just treat me as a treat."

Originally, he bought Coke because of favors, so he didn't intend to sell it for money.

"Cola?"

Repeat this strange-sounding name. Oriana looked at the black one in the bottle, and one or two bubbles of liquid popped up from time to time, and she didn't dare to try it.

Just as they were hesitating, Warren had already opened the bottle of Coke. The metal bottle cap was very firm and the method of opening was very simple. From this perspective, Warren thought the design was good.

He smelled it, and there was no special smell. Then he found three clean cups, poured Coke on, and pushed it in front of the two of them.

Baron Goode picked up the cup, and this special drink made him feel a little curious. He had no hope anyway, so there was no big problem in trying new things.

Oriana felt stuffy and felt the coldness of the cup in her hand, but she didn't refuse.

"Then let's respect "Daily Prest."

Warren quipped, the three of them clinked their glasses, and then each drank the liquid in their own cups.

Almost at the same time, the three of them suddenly widened their eyes, and the picture was frozen at this moment.

Putting down the cup, Warren was silent. He didn't know how to describe his mood, so he looked at Oriana, hoping that this editor-in-chief with excellent writing could say something, but he soon saw that Oriana stared at the empty cup in a daze, without saying a word.

The silence was finally broken by Baron Goode. He raised his skinny hand, picked up the metal bottle cap on the table, and read out the words written in the bottle cap, one by one, and one pun.
